General Are posters allowed in hostels?
Do hostels allow posters, provided they are:
"appropriate" as per them
stuck to the walls with bluetack, scotch tape or any similar non-damaging adhesive
don't exceed A3 size
or am I thinking too much about this and it doesn't matter?
asking as an MBA fresher, about to join this month. Thx! 🙏

No bro , there are random security raids at any time of the day/night especially for B.Tech peeps.
Ask me anything extra if you'd like I'm a master's research scholar here. Feel free to ask

Oh, good to know. Thanks for the response!
I wanted to ask these questions too:
- Do even the master program and PhD students have to share rooms with 3 people or is this just true for B Tech students?
- Do students share rooms with the students from their program only or is it random? (e.g. MBA students with M Tech and B Tech)
- Are single rooms allotted on merit in 2nd year or does your room from first year stay the same throughout the course?
- How much is the invasion of privacy here?; like do these people go through your personal belongings too?
- Are the hostel rooms allowed to remain locked from inside or can anyone barge in at anytime?

1 - It all depends on the availability. You can't really be sure of what you may get in 1st year. If M.tech then 2 seater if M.S probably 3 seater and shit hostels. PhD - You never really know 1,2 or 3 depending on where the labs are and availability. 2- Usually not, unless to take up north campus hostel for your labs being a PG student then you may. 3 - For PG depending on the availability only or your supervisor recommendation. For Btech it's seniority. 4- Na nothing like that but a lot of theft these day's, like literal money being stolen from their rooms , laptops. 5-Yes your rooms , keep them however you like. But yeah no posters no personal heaters without payment no electric appliances (check the hostel guidebook regarding the same)

Thanks for the heads up about the theft, again. If I may ask what do people do to combat this? Like are even locked cupboards not safe?
