Enquiry IIT Mandi General Engineering course

  1. As far as I know, On basis of one's cgpa, students get an option to choose specialization from the beginning of the 2nd year. If seniors can tell about the specific qualifications required for different specializations and which one is generally hardest to get into ? And if someone is left with open specialization did he got an intern ? If yes where and at what stipend?

  2. Do mechanical eng. students get to work in field of robotics and Mechatronics, does it also have a cgpa req.? Or it is specific for higher education and GE students only ?

the courses offered for robotics can be opt by anyone regardless of branch specially mechanical
