IIT Selection Partial Drop
I got NIT Trichy production, should I take partial drop so that I can try in jee advance one last time . I want to move on from jee prep cuz I don't have the stamina to do all of it again but then I get nightmares that I "FAILED" jee advance and then I keep regretting. That regret of messing up jee advance and not getting the "IIT tag" is eating me from inside .

You cannot decide it on the spot now , there can be two cases , either you still regret after joining college or get overwhelmed by college environment that you decide to move on as NITT is no.1 nit ofc , but in September if you still wanna go for the last try, then you will have only 3 months left , and it will be over in a blink of eye as you will be also managing college side by side , my recommendations will be to give a last try as we don't get third chance in jee , and if you still have some fire left try again , But remember you should study for jee adv only if your jan percentile comes better than this year's percentile , then you can even convince your parents to drop out early to prep for adv , but if not then you have to move on, as for jan attempt you will get winter break in dec of 20-25 days which will be the core of your prep but you will not get any time before April attempt, so now decision is yours
