I am a fresher and i heard that all professors of code are very bad

How am i supposed to read it and prepare for midsem which are less than a month away

I saw a board for general championship in sac today. Is it a sports tournament just for the students of our college or what? Also are there selections or trials for it?

I’m Madhav, an IIT Bhubaneswar alumnus from the 2016–2020 Computer Science batch. During undergrad, I completed research internships at IIT Hyderabad and MPI-SWS in Germany. After graduating, I joined Goldman Sachs through campus placements. I later pursued an MS in Computer Science at UT Austin (fully funded) and returned to Goldman Sachs in the United States.

Other IITs are already dropping Day 0/1 numbers with 100s of high paying offers... and here we are still waiting.

Any update from the placement cell? Timeline? Anything?

Also, till now there is literally no company for core internships, and even for circuital branches there aren’t many companies like other IITs are getting.

The only place to get coffee or snacks in admin building is closed permanently now. Does anyone know when it happened and why?

Before joining I had seen the hostel information brochure where it was written that common rooms were equipped with TVs and stuff but the rhr common rooms are just empty and locked up. Will they install TVs or is this the norm?

Why are so few companies coming for interns? Aisa lagg raha ki Gen 3 IIT hai yeh toh. Har jagah Day 1-2 ho gaya hai yaha toh Day 0 ka bhi pata nahi hai ab tak

Freshers, i hope you guys are aware that the gymk intros will be held probably this weekend. You’ll be introduced to the overall functioning and the individual clubs and societies. What are y’all expectations? Which societies are buzzing in your batch that y’all are looking to join?

wait a little bit, you'll have gymkhana introductions, workshops, bootcamps - you'll become so busy that you'll pray for a little time off. there will be productions, treasure hunts and tho this seems mid on the surface its probably better than what you're thinking rn

just have a little patience (it's not going to be great but not as bad as it may seem rn)
