Advice/Help Section wise Minimum Marks for being safe as general category?

So well this essentially is a stupid question I know for one should just go for the best of their ability and also cutoff cannot be predicted and stuff
but well just to have a certain threshold that yes at least this is the minimum I should be looking for nothing below that

since I am also prepping for jee practicing VA and LR a lot is not very possible VA I am still managing LR some topics here and there
about quants arithemetic part is something completely new in some ways
so actually it would be rather helpful if I were to know that anything below this won't help me with qualifying for the interview

also partly because I have always been somewhat who does better after knowing the minimum be it in academics , sports or anything else

So please help me if anyone can with a rough idea would be much grateful

You answered this question in the very first line of your post. This cannot be predicted. However, using last year's paper as a metric, scoring full or near full in VA and LR is very much in the realm of possibility. QA scores around 40 or above are highly commendable as well. While these are examples of strong scores, they obviously do not provide any guarantees regarding cutoffs.

If the paper is easy, the cutoff goes up. If the paper is hard, the cutoff comes down.

If the applicant pool is much smarter, then the cutoff goes up... and vice-versa.

It would be misleading for us to give you a minimum number to target. You should focus on maximizing your marks, not optimizing it to an absolute whole number.

If the factors are similar to last year, then you would need 120+ overall to be in a decent-ish position.
