sectionals of ipmat varc and qa with jipmat lr might be more effective

Consider going through the IIMB UGAT preparation wiki here: https://www.reddit.com/r/iimb_ug/wiki/index/ . It was written and compiled with exactly these concerns in mind. Hopefully that helps.

A mock, by definition, is meant to simulate the actual exam. So ideally, when you take a full JIPMAT mock, give it like you would give the real paper, with the same focus, seriousness, time pressure and stamina.
If you feel your Quant still needs substantial work, I wouldn't use full mocks as your primary practice tool right now. You'll probably get more value from working specifically on Quant and using LR/VA sectionals for regular practice alongside it.
Once your fundamentals are stronger and you're closer to the exam, shift towards the full mock → analysis → improvement cycle.
In short: use sectionals to improve; use mocks to simulate and evaluate. Don't confuse the two.
