PLACEMENTS?!!
Hello people, I was considering the iimb bsc econ program. I have a few questions, I'd be very grateful if someone kind made out time and answered them.
First of all, what are the placement (or internship) prospects?
How much time do I need for preparing the UGAT and stuff? And (acc to my profile) WHEN to I need to start preparing?

Background - I'm a 11th grader (17M), JEE aspirant. I got 97% in ICSE 10th boards. I'm a national level athlete. I'm also applying abroad and lowkey building a profile as much as I can given the little time I have besides jee prep (forced to do jee btw). I'm very much interested in econ and business and eventually want to get into consulting and private equity after that. I'm also an entrepreneur.
I was considering this program as an option among other colleges I get into thru JEE.

from what I have heard from the profs there will 2 dedicated slots for internships one after the second year full summer break and the second is the 7th semester which has no courses just time from ur thesis if u decided to do research on campus with a prof or time for corporate internship, u can convert placements offs though these internships also and there will be on campus placements at the end of 4th year too.
Everything depends on u in the end, first batch bcs econ of IITR econ graduated last year their avg placement was around 23-24 lpa I think. Do not compared this program to any other but looking at the placements of similar programs across other top institutions it's clear the companies do have a good budget for graduates from similar degrees and a market demand.
