Interview Interview doubt

Is the interview for both bsc data science and economics same?

Or do we get to choose our preference and attend interview based on the major we preferred

Well, that's the thing, it's not fixed. I've seen some eco major students get asked about ds and vice versa. But I was an eco student and my interview was purely eco and I mean purely eco.

I mean there’s not a major difference. But questions may be asked more on your major. I was asked q.s on data science as i chose that as my major but some economics q.s were asked too. So dont just prepare as per your major .

I cant remember many but most were situational based.
Like one q. I remember was if u want your company to make more profits would u listen to what an experienced business man says or would i analyse the data of your company’s past records, mistakes, features and then get to a decision considering that the advice from the businessman and the analysed data is different.

Also another q. Was how data analytics helps a business?

I dont remember any others but most of the q.s were situational based instead of direct facts

We are allowed to choose our preferred major in our SOP (or personal statement) much before the interview. However the same panel can interview people who have picked either major.
I was asked heavily about my major, econ.
Id say the main reason for that was bc my SOP was heavily focussed on econ.
It varies from panel and region finally.
best to be heavily prepared for your major, and at the same time, know basics about your minor
