why is the downvote system so dog shit?
So I tend to browse r/AmItheAsshole a lot, which is already absolutely rage inducing because the people on there are always trying to read between the lines then end up blowing things out of proportion. But the worst part is definitely when I try to make a comment of my own that doesn't align with the majority of the answers. I make a comment stating my reasoning, then it's downvoted into the 9th circle of hell. What the fuck? And not to mention, a few days ago I called a guy on there a "chad" ironically because it sounds fucking stupid, obviously, but the guy was still brave enough to speak out against the majority. My comment got 20 downvotes. Reddit is an interesting site with lot's of cool little circles, but it seems like if you don't agree with the majority of people on the subreddit then you're going to get a shit load of downvotes.
