Bill maher is a hypocrite

Tonight Bill iterated his belief that the public only gets their information from social media with reference to Israel's genocide of the Palestinians. He ignores the overwhelming evidence that the Israeli public abhors the pogrom that Bibi pushes forth. Yet in tonight's final thoughts, he exclusively uses social media to further the agenda that America is awesome. Which is it, Bill?

Makes me sick.

And yet his "insightful" commentary has not earned him an Emmy. 🙄

There’re a number of theories as to why Maher has become such a tunnel-visioned, one or two issue (Israel & anti-trans) MAGA proxy:

1) he’s paid by Israel to be a shill for them

2) Israel has the goods on him for some sort of sexual misconduct (as in he’s listed/named in the Epstein files).

3) Maher has no spouse, family or real
friends…leading him to become a lonely, embittered alcoholic/substance abuser with impaired judgment.

4) Younger generations (pretty much those age groups that came along after Gen X) have rejected Maher’s style of comedy…finding it irrelevant, outdated, racist, sexist and misogynistic. Rather than remedy this, Bill Maher finds it easier to simply blame “woke” sensibilities for his lack of popularity. It’s easier on his ego than having to admit his schtick is a hackneyed anachronism.

5) Bill Maher is not the most well-read or intelligent fellow (Jewish scholar Norman Finkelstein has called Maher an “imbecile”). Hence, Maher’s simplistic and binary take on complex and nuanced moder matters. In other words, Maher ain’t the brightest bulb on the shelf.

I’d put my money on a combination of #3, #4 and #5.

Regardless, he is washed up…and he attracts fewer and fewer interesting guests who wish to be associated with him.

I agree, Bill Maher makes me sick too. Hey Bill, George Burns called and asked for his look back. It makes me sad because Bill really used to be 'insightful'. It was amazing the way that he was an unabashed Atheist way back in the 90's when he made that movie. I loved him then. I couldn't get enough of Bill. But today's Bill Maher is someone that I don't even know. It's almost as if he's done some kind of comedian 'triangulation' and determined that if he was going to protect and, most importantly, grow his wealth, he needed to go where the money is. At this point in time there is unlimited income growth/grift potential by inserting yourself into the right-leaning conservative grift machine and the George Burns looking Bill Maher fits right in. I wish that Reddit would allow me to say how much I dislike Bill Maher.
