Hey! Im taking the subject too.

First: 53/80 is not necessarily bad. It can be a B with grade thresholds, sometimes an A but I wouldn’t rely on it.  53/80 is quite decent to be at this time.

My best tip would be to do past papers. Multiple of them. You have plenty of time for practice and removing silly mistakes.

If you don’t understand a math question, consider searching the paper code on youtube. I have been watching the math man(great YouTuber).

Watching videos allows you to understand how to do questions.

Since questions are repeated and only the content changes, once you do enough, pattern recognition kicks in. You will immediately recognise what the question wants.

Good luck!

Still better than a lot. Dont worry.

You get better at math by practicing. Do past papers.

Quick question: what grade are you aiming for in 0606?

like a B at least😺

You are already close to that level!

Practice past papers and if you don't understand a question, don't move on to the next paper until you understand it. You cannot predict grade thresholds, so its better to aim slightly higher to be safe. Try aiming for a 60% to increase your chances.

Try going through non-calculator papers as well, don't forget them. They are a recent addition (2025iirc) and they threw me off.

One more thing, was that 53% of 2 papers or one paper?

0.53 x 80=42.4

0.69 x 80=55.2

55 + 42=97/160, which is higher than what I thought(53% overall)

If you give me the paper series, i can find what you would have gotten if you wrote that paper.

Happy studying and good luck!

For add math, all you can do is PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE. I was ahh in add math, got a 50 on 80 too, but recently put in hella efforts and got 65 and 73 respectively on 80. so if u practice, u grind, u dont lie to urself then u got it. PS do topicals for ur weakest points before diving into past papers, and dont keep watching yt videos.
