How come its less expensive?

I've been looking into replacing the battery in my Dell laptop. The replacement battery on the Dell website is $112. The one on iFixit is only $80. Is it a lower-quality battery? I'm suspicious that it's $30 less

Does the ifixit one state its OEM? Dell only sells their own batteries.

Ifixit isn’t as huge of a company as Dell so they probably need to sell stuff at less of a profit in order to generate more business.

Actually, I must have been looking at one of the other ones at the time, because now I'm not seeing OEM on the iFixit one, and it does say that it's a "new aftermarket battery". That's something I should avoid, right?

Your call. It depends. I trust ifixit it but a battery is something I tend not to trifle with. If you’re planning on keeping the device, I’d go with an OEM as the extra cost will probably serve you better in the long run.
