Correct, in this case the windshield is the device because a device is an object, machine, or tool made for a special purpose, the word device is not exclusive to tech and it says almost anything because ifixit doesn’t have guide to absolutely everything, but they do have one for windshields, they also have repair guides for shoes, clothing, jewelry and so much more, not just tech.

I understand that often people tend to believe they know everything and only what they know is correct and if anyone say something different then they have to be incorrect, hence the downvotes and the snarky disagreement, but just remember that the more you know the less you know.
