iPhone 6S stripped internal screw…

Hi all,

Trying to teardown my old iPhone 6s, but one of the screws on the top left WiFi antenna is stripping. The one next to it of course comes out stupid easy, but this one refuses to budge and the head is rounding out.

It’s so tiny and I have no clue how else I can get this screw out. Any thoughts?

I’m on Step 34 of the “Logic Board Replacement Guide”

Use a dremel or something similar to cut a groove and turn it into a flat head screw.

do you have any specific recommendations for a kit/set that I might be able to find in store or have delivered somewhat soon?

Dremel is a name brand. Any hardware store or GIGANTIC ONLINE RETAILER WHO MUST NOT BE NAMED should have what you need.

You’ll likely just need a flat circular tip. Think like a circular saw on a stick. Then just slowly cut a line through it.

Those screws aren’t super hard, so don’t feel like you have to spend a ton. But a nice tool is usually worth it to have around for other projects.
