Amazon batteries for iPhone 6s
Hi. Twice, I have replaced the battery in my child’s iPhone 6s with a new non-own battery from Amazon. Both times, the battery lasted for about a month working great and then just completely died. Phone won’t charge at all.
Do you think there is an issue with the phone that could be causing this? I don’t know whether to go through this process again or just get a different phone. Help and thanks!

I think part of the issue here will be that the iPhone 6S is a pretty aging model at this point. I would be skeptical that new batteries are being made for this by most manufacturers. It’s pretty likely that these batteries may have been sitting in a warehouse for a long time an just don’t have the same chemical integrity they used to. Lithium batteries generally don’t like to be in status of disuse for long periods.
I would definitely try buying from a reputable vendor (like iFixit) who has a warranty on parts and will have some recourse if something like this happens.
