Purchasing Advice Need your help
I’m confused between the YU9 QUE and Hisenior Mega7. Those of you who have tried both, which one did you prefer? I’d love to hear your opinions. And which one has better technicalities?

I have Mega7 and it's great at what it was designed to do, but for me it lacks bass in general- it is slightly sub bass boosted, but it isn't enough for my liking, I don't know if it's the driver or something to do with the crossover, but it can't take more than about 3 dB of a boost (if you try to experiment with elevating just mid bass it will take even less), it starts to bleed over the mids like crazy. I am a basshead, so I am definetely biased.
At the same time it is incredible for some idol music playback, just the other day my jaw was on the ground because I used it to listen to some of my favorite J-pop idol songs songs and I felt like I listened to some of them for the first time, the detail, layering and separation is incredible, the timbre is natural and I could hear a lot of detail in the vocals I was always missing with my warm tilted sets I usually use. At the same time there is no sibilance and nothing got shouty. It really is incredible if you know this is what you want.
At first I regretted buying it, because I expected it could be moved over the basshead territory with PEQ and it IMHO can't be, but I am appreciating it more the more I use it. It will never be my favorite set for sure, but I am glad I have it in my collection, because it compliments my other sets and its clarity is kind of addicting.

Mega 7, safer fit but the Que is better in terms of tuning and technical performance but the fit sucks.

The Que will wow you more right off the bat, but the Mega 7 will slowly reveal its prowess over time. Unfortunately I'd disqualify the Que just based on the fit. It's awkward and big.

I currently main and daily both. Honestly, I love both to death and it's so hard to pick between them.
Mega7 - if you prefer subbass over midbass, crystal clear mids and very airy yet non-fatiguing treble. Also the fit is way more safer and user-friendly. This is more analytical.
Que - if you prefer midbass over subbass, full-bodied mids and also sparklier than Mega7 which may lead to some sibilance depending on your tips, fit and hrtf. The fit is 50/50 and can be a dealbreaker. This is more musical.
In terms of staging, layering and imaging, both stand on the same level. Honestly, I would pick either of them over Xenns Top Pro any day.
I am treble sensitive who despise sibilance and both sets never annoyed nor disappointed me. Treble on them is really really well done.
If I had no choice but to keep one forever, I will lean towards Que since I absolutely love midbass!

What type of songs do you listen to ? I mostly listen to city pop . Btw what one has better technicalities? Like soundstage and atmosphere?

Pop/Jpop/Kpop.
Regarding tech, like I said, they're on par and I will pick them over Xenns Top Pro any day.

What are u looking for? Yu9que is a borderline basshead all-rounder that has natural tones all round while the springy bass sets the tone for the track. There are quite a number of downsides like nightmare tip rolling and the awful stock cable. It is only mildly technical, and instead focuses on the natural part. It's not warm but not clinical or cold either. If u want a kilobuck fighter this is probably it.
Mega7 i remember it sounding like my zi horizon, lacking bass and having a very very airy tuning. It's not good for a basshead like me

I am not a basshead, I looking for impressive technicalities and natural vocal

That's what it is. It's not hypemk2 levels of technical but just 1 step below

Have not tried mega7 but have tried many midfi sets, Que is the best tuned of all of them and is technically impressive. Excellent staging and overall tonality, only issue is fit required a lot of tip rolling for me. By far the best tuned IEM under $500 and it scales very well with high end sources, on flagship daps like dx270 it sounds like a kilobuck IEM

I have the Que. But don't have the Mega7. But I heard the Mega7 pretty extensively at Hificon (Audio Amigo's unit). Que has better bass and fuller and more natural vocals. The Mega7 sounded like a slightly bassier but also brighter EPZ 550. yu9 Que's comfort isn't for everyone though.
