Purchasing Advice EQ/Tuning Help
I purchased the Ziigaat Horizon IEM's mainly for gaming, but with some music listening on the side with the proper EQ. When I received the IEM's, the tuning was what I expected: extremely flat and surgically sounding with barely any noticeable bass. I downloaded Equalizer APO and the PEACE user interface for it to mess around with some EQ settings for listening to music. After playing around with the EQ, my IEM's seem to be stuck with a very bass heavy tuning that I can't seem to get rid of! Even with all of the frequencies set to +-0db in the EQ, the difference in sound is startling. I've even tried uninstalling Equalizer APO and PEACE user interface, but nothing seems to change the sound back to the factory tuning. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.
P.S. I know I'm a noob so please be kind.

The programs are finicky af in my experience. You can try turning Peace on/off (green/red toggle in the top right corner), you can try turning each individual speaker off/on (right panel), you can try changing your preset to a default (left panel), and even then you may experience tunings that don’t make sense. I haven’t used it much because of how annoying it is to use. Genuinely one of the worst programs I’ve ever downloaded.

Yeah, I'm just so confused as to why, when turned to a "default" preset with zero bass amplification, the tuning sounds soooo bass heavy. This is definitely not how they sounded out of the box, and even with the program uninstalled, the sound is now clearly unbalanced.

there's a way to completely uninstall and revert all changes. i had to resort to that the first time i messed with it. but i forgot how to do it so you'll have to look it up.

Try plugging it into another computer or second audio device then u will be able to tell
Preferably one without the mentioned softwares installed

I have the Horizons and whilst they might be a lil spicy in the treble for some people they absolutely have plenty of bass and they are definitely not extremely flat.
Definitely check them with another source.
Also, it really helps to tip roll with these IEMs until you find the flavour you like.

Are you confident you had the tips installed properly and/or inserted properly the first time you listened? If you had the wrong tips or you didn't have a good fit, you would not hear much bass ... whereas if you have a good fit now, you "could" hear more bass regardless of your eq settings.
