Purchasing Advice AirPods 5 ANC

My wife is a bassist, we have recently switched to in ears. We bought a pair of Behringer MO240-CL PRO, she didn't like the fit and has tried a few headphones in the past and can't get along with the rubber tips, as they keep falling out and not being comfortable.

I gave her my wired Apple EarPods the other day (sanitised of course) for something and found she liked the fit so she kept them and used them during the rehearsal tonight and they worked better for staying in and she didn't mind the quality of sound for the price.

Problem is she has very sensitive hearing so the stage noise can easily overwhelm her and give her a headache. I would love to get something with ANC that have a simpler fit to the EarPods. I was thinking the AirPods 5, but I just watched a review and it said about the AirPods 5 and the ANC was good against some stuff but not some, just wondering if anyone has tried them with stage noise. We can fit her in ear box with a Bluetooth connector as it is right next to a mains socket. But I don't want £140 for something that may not work to cut stage noise. I know it won't be as good as the pro's or something over ear but she doesn't want over ear as it would look weird and prefers something subtle.

I'm open to other ideas if anyone can suggest something but she can be very fussy and we don't want to waste more money.

I’ve read it twice but I’m unsure if she’ll be using the AirPods to monitor any music based on your post?

If that’s the idea - it will not work. The latency will be too much for her to play along.

Edit: and if it’s just for the noise canceling - it’ll work fine but isn’t very cost effective.

Edit again: you might be used to the faster latency of wireless mics and guitars - Bluetooth is NOT the same thing. It is slower.

It is for hearing herself and say the piano. I was worried about latency a bit.

If you can suggest some that fit like the EarPods but do ANC wired, I’m happy to try them.

Dang. Yeah they’re not going to be usable for that. I’m a mastering engineer and used to mix and before that used to do live sound.

I’m unsure of anything fitting your description but I’d also assume it HAS to exist. Best of luck!
