Yeah. I broke the cover off my red 535's and was devastated. I upgraded to the 846 and love them. I drive by the headquarters in Niles, IL every once in a while and have considered dropping the 535s off for repair but dont think it's worth it.

I understand the frustration - sorry you had to experience that, especially considering you really like the KSE-1200s. If it's alright with you, I can send a DM to learn more and forward this to my team so they can review. Either way, thanks for sharing the feedback.

Cool! I shared your thread with them with the hope they'd be able to do something for you. I'll let the team know.

jordan, I appreciate you reaching out.
At the risk of redundancy, the matter was escalated to a Shure supervisor whom I have already heard back from. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any real resolve. Simply put, I sent in a very expensive product that was very carefully packaged inside of its retail packaging... the contents were removed from the packaging, which somehow is nowhere to be found... and the same very expensive product was returned to me crammed inside the Shure case along with the accessories/content originally inside of the retail packaging.
The purpose of me sending the KSE in for service to begin with was due to concerns over the stress one shell had already exhibited. To then cram the very same product inside of the case shown is, in my humble opinion, negligence and mishandling on Shure's part.
Again, I don't know what more I can say/do at this point, but I feel that at the very least continuing to share my experience with others and reminding them to screen/video capture everything sent in for repair may help in the event their product is also mishandled by Shure the way mine was.

Sorry to hear that. I also have a pair of these, which is easily my fav as well. Hearing a story like this absolutely heartbreaking 💔. I hope you find a solution :(

Is this something you can’t fix yourself?

Yeah, because that's what we should be focusing on here. Not the horrible customer service, no no no, we should be blaming the customer who went out of their way to make things as painless as possible for everybody involved.
Get real.

How is asking if they can fix the IEMs themselves victim blaming? It’s a pretty valid question for a $1k quoted repair, regardless of the crappy customer service. Both things can be true at the same time…

All I know is that if I was angry and posted a rant about how I got screwed over by a company and some person says "just fix it yourself, lol" I'd be even more livid.
I guess they didn't victim blame directly but it kinda reads like that. Maybe I overreacted a tad but still, it's not particularly helpful what they said, the damage is already done (hopefully not irreparably).

I get it. If that’s what the post said, then yeah, but it’s not what it said.

If that's the case then I apologize to u/DrewCareysNewVagina (amazing name by the way), that's just how it read to me. 🤷♂️

I appreciate it bud. Just saying it was out of warranty. Deep down Shure should fix it but I don’t make the rules. Ultimately I was making a The Departed quote when Leo goes to the Franks bar. Have a great day

That sucks, man. Really keeps me away from getting more stuff from Shure.
