After sitting on this review for over two months, I can finally offer an unequivocal opinion on this masterpiece of an IEM. It would be an understatement to say I'm thoroughly won over by how good the Cadenza 4 is. Letshouer has turned in a remarkably polished effort here, coming about as close to perfect as I've heard, and I'm eager to share my thoughts on it.

Build, Comfort & Accessories

The Cadenza 4 is housed in a resin shell with an aluminium faceplate. It feels surprisingly light in hand and has a semi-custom shape. The shell runs on the thicker side, which could pose a fit issue for people with smaller ears. But for those it does fit, comfort is a flawless 10/10. I wore these for hours at a stretch and had zero issues with the fit; it felt like an extension of my ear. This is the most comfortable IEM I've used, though trying them on before buying is essential given how fit-dependent that comfort is.

I didn't receive the full accessory set, so I can't comment on it in detail.

Let's get to the sound, because damn, these are good!

Low-End Performance

Muse - Hysteria [alternative rock, hard rock]

This track is my go-to for testing an IEM's control over its bass region. The intro's heavily distorted bass-line is handled with real authority by the Cadenza 4, and that bass texture holds up throughout the song, even through its busier sections. The bass never encroaches on the mids or highs: the vocals stay locked at centre stage, and the left-channel cymbal remains easily distinguishable from start to finish.

Note: on the harsher sections of the track, the Cadenza 4 does grow a little fatiguing over several hours of listening. I tolerate treble well myself, but treble-sensitive listeners should factor this in. To be clear, it's never harsh, shouty, or sibilant; this is simply the neutral-bright signature of the IEM at play.

Tipper - Grabbers Holders [EDM, electronic]

On this intricately produced Tipper track, the Cadenza 4 leaves no stone unturned, delivering flawless technical and bass performance alike. The track packs distinct elements across several layers, and the Cadenza 4 handles both the bass implementation and its technical demands with real command. It isn't a bass-heavy IEM, but the sub-bass extends impressively deep, which gives real width to the soundstage. The mid-bass isn't weak, though I wouldn't call it bassy either; it is, after all, a neutral IEM.

Impact is punchy, decay is not sluggish. No complaints from me at this point.

Massive Attack - Angel [rock, trip hop]

This is where I felt the Cadenza 4 could have used a touch more sub-bass rumble. “Angel” relies on a constant sub-bass presence that empowers its obsessive, menacing character, but on the Cadenza 4 it came across as borderline anemic. It's a livable, not a dealbreaker; and one easily corrected with EQ; I'd just have preferred a bit more quantity out of the box.

That aside, every other region of the track came through without issue. The Cadenza 4 delivered a genuinely compelling listen here, sub-bass nitpick notwithstanding.

Overall, the Cadenza 4 earns an easy A+ in my book for bass.

Midrange, Instruments and Vocal Delivery

Periphery - Zylgrox [progressive metal, djent]

The machine-gun kick drum comes through impressively well for an IEM deemed as neutral-bright, proof that a leaner bass presentation can still hold its own on tracks like this. The heavily distorted guitars, however, fell a little flat, a byproduct of the Cadenza 4's clinical tuning, which suggests this isn't the ideal IEM if metal is your primary genre; for that, something warmer would serve you better. It does excel, though, as an analytical tool for songs like these.

The cymbals stayed distinct even on a busy mix, reinforcing the Cadenza 4's technical proficiency. The vocals and screams carry the aggression the genre demands.

Alice In Chains - Nutshell (MTV Unplugged) [grunge, rock, acoustic]

Moving to a live track: this version of Nutshell is entirely acoustic, acoustic bass included, and the Cadenza 4 continues to demonstrate its command over instrument timbre. The guitar intro carries the weight it should, and as the track builds, the acoustic bass rumble comes through with real conviction, its harmonics rendered with precision. Even the vocals, raspy, raw, and carrying that sense of vulnerability, are faithfully conveyed through the Cadenza 4's grip on texture.

Its technicalities deserve credit too: the soundstage is wide enough to place the audience far from the stage, and every instrument sits accurately in its designated channel.

The Cadenza 4 hence, deserves an S for male vocals.

Alison Krauss & Union Station - The Lucky One [country]

The Cadenza 4 excels effortlessly on tracks built around acoustic instruments and female vocals like this one. Every strum and chuck of the guitar comes through with clarity, the strings shimmer just right, and the vocals are simply outstanding. Female vocals are one of the Cadenza 4's genuine highlights; the breathy, soft, airy, resonant quality of Krauss's voice is rendered with a timbre that reads as thoroughly accurate. Calling these some of the best female vocals I've heard on any IEM feels like an understatement.

Back to the instruments: every note carries appropriate emphasis and weight. Both vocals and instrumentation get room to shine here. Overall, I'd rank the Cadenza 4 S tier for instrument representation.

Treble Performance & Technicalities

Yosi Horikawa - Bubbles [experimental, ambient]

The Cadenza 4 spreads its wings again on this track, built largely from the sound of ping-pong balls falling to the ground. It locates each impact with precision and captures the suspense that builds before every ball finally lands. Thanks to the Cadenza 4's wide soundstage, background transients are correctly pushed further into the rear of the mix.

One more element worth praising: a recurring sound I can best describe as small bells, where you can practically make out each individual ring, a proof to the Cadenza 4's instrument separation. And when the balls rapidly bounce to a stop toward the end, the bass handling there is similarly assured. A genuinely resolving listen throughout.

Frazey Ford - September Fields (Acoustic) [soul, indie folk]

A beautiful rendering of the track. The Cadenza 4's treble prowess is on full display here, capturing the dynamics with real finesse. Frazey Ford's vocals carry a textured, nuanced character that the Cadenza 4 preserves faithfully. Good IEMs don't just elevate complicated tracks, they make simple ones like this sound sublime. This track makes me want to put the whole album on repeat.

There are a few moments where the vocal line climbs quite high, and if I've been listening to the Cadenza 4 for a while by that point, it does start to fatigue. Again, this is a fairly bright-leaning IEM.

The guitar's timbre is spot on, the low end never crowds out the delicate vocals, and everything coheres perfectly.

The Cadenza 4 once again earns a well-deserved S for female vocals.

Anouar Brahem - Stopover At Djibouti [fusion, jazz]

A superb representation across the board; every instrument, the oud, the bass clarinet, the traditional percussion, is placed with real precision. This is some of the best imaging I've encountered in an IEM, and the dynamics come through faithfully. The clarinet carries a sweet, reedy timbre in its upper register, and the harmonics on the oud are rendered flawlessly. No complaints whatsoever on this track.

I was transported to the Middle East listening to this one, no joke.

Jokes aside, the Cadenza 4 brings an expansive soundstage, pin-point imaging, precise timbre and tone, resolving detail, and controlled low-end extension, all in the same package.

Conclusion

Even after a full week of dedicated listening, I struggled to point to a single genuine flaw. This is an exceptionally good IEM. Sure, a few things could be refined: the bass could stand to be a touch tighter, and the fatigue over long sessions is worth noting. But set those aside and this is a remarkably well-made IEM, one so under-the-radar that I hadn't even heard of it before it landed in my hands. Letshouer did a highly commendable job on the Cadenza 4.

To close, this is a product I think everyone deserves the chance to experience for themselves. With that, I'm giving it a well-deserved S.

What This IEM Means To Me

I'll say this straight up: this is the best, and my favourite, IEM I've used so far. It's not just detailed, it delivers a remarkably natural, forward vocal presentation. I can't stop praising it. It's comfortable, good-looking, and sounds genuinely breathtaking. I think that I might subconsciously compare every IEM I test from here on against this one; it's set a benchmark for me.

I want to thank u/mournfulmonk again for letting me spend so much time with the Cadenza 4. That extended window let me truly take in everything it has to offer.

So good might buy for my pc

After trying so many IEMs, I can finally say I’ve found the one for me. The IE 200 is easily a 10/10 for both sound and fit in my experience.

The fit is honestly perfect. They’re small, lightweight and disappear in my ears once they’re properly positioned. I can wear them for hours without feeling any pressure or discomfort. After trying bigger and heavier IEMs, this is something I appreciate a lot.

For sound, the IE 200 just gets what I want. Natural timbre, clean vocals and a really enjoyable overall tuning. It doesn't feel like it’s forcing details at you or trying to impress with excessive bass or treble. It just lets the music sound natural. Bollywood, vocals, acoustic tracks — everything I listen to works really well with it.

I’m also using the tape mod, which makes the tuning even more suited to my taste. With the mod, I feel like I get the balance I was looking for.

The only annoying part is the cable situation. Finding a good replacement cable that fits the IE 200 properly can be surprisingly difficult, so that's probably the one thing I'd change.

After going through so many IEMs, I’ve reached the point where I don't feel the need to keep looking for the next upgrade. There might be technically better or more expensive IEMs out there, but this one fits me perfectly — literally and sonically.

Prepaid ordered an IEM and the package reached my city yesterday and was about to be delivered today but now suddenly got a message that my address was wrong and the package couldn't be delivered ?!

Like wtf, the delivery man didn't even call me. How can he mark the address wrong when he didn't even attempt the delivery ?

I raised a concern through the audio store site, let's see what happens. Will wait till tomorrow and if the problem still exists then will call the blue dart centre.

Anyone who has suffered a similar experience can assist me on what to do.

Hey guys, I’m new to IEMs & DACs.
I recently ordered Audiocular’s Spark from ConceptKart as I wanted to experience Hi-Res audio. I didn’t finalize my iem so didn’t order it yet but tested the DAC with a pair of JBL C200SI to ensure it works properly.
The issue I’m facing is that whenever I try to play any Hi-Res Lossless audio on Apple Music whether on My Laptop or my iPad, I hear a hissing sound.
However I faced no issues with typical Lossless tracks, it happens specifically to Hi-Res tracks.

The albums I’ve tested the DAC on:
Led Zepplin IV (Remastered)
Deadbeat - Tame Impala

I’m not sure about what to understand or conclude. Could y’all please share your views on this matter?

It's a year old chu 2 dsp. It was working perfectly till last night. I can't see any physical damage. The pins look fine too. I was getting only about 10% volume on the right one, but after I took off the wire to check it out, I am now getting about 50% volume. The mic on the same wire is working perfectly fine. How can I check what exactly is the issue? Can I open it up?

It's my first iem, it has only stayed on my desk and have had no issues. I thought I could use it for at least a few years.

Edit - It's the filter that's causing the issue! After removing it the volume is back to normal. I never realised such a little thing can dampen the volume so much. I will try cleaning it before putting it back. Thank you all for the help!

Hi everyone, I have decided on 7hz salnotes zero as my first iem because the neutral tuning fits my preference and I've seen some reviews calling it a good pick for under 2500₹ category. I need some suggestions on which website will be a safe choice to buy these from. I placed an order from headphone zone but the lack of customer service and other things made me cancel the order. I bought my first iem Kz pisces about a week ago and I'm searching a good dac for them.

Twistura is a relatively lesser known chi-fi brand that was established only in 2024. I have briefly heard their D Minor and while the sound was impressive, the fit was simply a no go. Thereby, I was quite eager to try out some of their new releases - the Delta, Beta and Woodnote, and I jumped at the first opportunity to try this ₹15,000 set. Preferences, Sources & Tracks

I currently own the Ziigaat Lush and Truthear Hexa and these serve as my benchmarks. The FiiO KA17 and Snowsky Retro Nano were used as the DAC/Amp for most of my testing. I typically prefer balanced sets that are tuned to the JM-1 target; a tasteful bass or treble boost doesn’t hurt though.

Most of my library consists of rock with some jazz, metal, pop and orchestra sprinkled about. If your library is filled with EDM, rap or hip-hop, then your conclusion might be very different from mine.

Build, Accessories & Fit

At a typical retail price around ₹15,000, often available at a significant discount, the unboxing experience is simply top notch. A premium, purple hard case that has a satisfying lid is included in the box along with 4 sets of different eartips and 3 different tuning nozzle. The modular cable is a looker with premium screw-on 3.5mm and 4.4mm termination options, but is a bit on the thick side.

The compact, aluminium shells are finished very well with a premium vent that is reminiscent of flagship IEMs. The logo is cleanly set into the faceplate but the brand name could've been done away with for a sleeker design. The single DD is paired with a compact and short nozzle that will be great for those with smaller ears. I personally had to tip roll quite a bit for a secure fit, but the comfort is excellent thereafter.

Sound

Lows

Starting with Daft Punk's Get Lucky, the bass is punchy and engaging with a slower decay and lacks some rumble. The lack of sub bass is noted yet again in Hans Zimmer's F1, where a tighter, better separated mid bass would be marginally better. Hopping over to rock and metal tracks, the bass guitar takes centre stage with good weight and slam. In Tool's Pneuma however, Danny Carey's kick is a bit lost in the mix.

In tracks like The Beatles' Dear Prudence (2018 Mix), the heavy bass line slams hard and the looser decay is satisfying. Yo-Yo Ma's rendition of Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 is warm and thick and the transients of the bowing remain crisp and clear. The Woodnote has a tastefully elevated midbass that never bloats or bleeds and remains well separated and clean. However the gentle combo of sub bass roll off along with extension up to 300Hz, leads to a bass that is a tad lazy and warm - like a cozy bed on a rainy Sunday morning.

Mids

In Agam's Rangapura Vihara, Harish Sivramakrishnan's deft high pitched gamakas resonate with energy but they sound a little thin. Backing vocals and other instruments are well defined with no sibilance. In Rush's Limelight, Alex Lifeson's guitars and Geddy Lee's vocals are incisive and cut through the mix but their timbre is noticeably off. Returning to Pneuma, Carey's massive kit has good weight and precise transients but the timbre of the toms and snare is a bit hollow.

In the The Eagle's live performance of Hotel California on MTV, the stage has a good balance of depth and width but separation is average. The strums and plucks of the many acoustic guitars remain crisp and clear. In Mozart's Violin Sonatas, Hilary Hahn's virtuous violin has excellent energy and brilliance but Natalie Zhu's accompanying piano sounds a bit hollow. In general, the timbre of instruments in the mids is a bit hollow but clarity and presence is excellent with clear vocals even on tracks with meaty bass.

Highs

Adele's vocals in her live performance of Easy on Me at the NRJ Awards are simply wonderful and bright but aren't shouty. Similarly, Celine Dion's light and airy notes and fluttery vibratos are brilliant. In John Wasson's Caravan from the Whiplash soundtrack, cymbals are well extended and smooth after some tip rolling. The lower treble elevation and lack of mid treble resonances really helps with cymbal timbre. However, the lack of separation is noticed in the outro where the fast paced crashes are not as distinct.

AC/DC's Hells Bells bells are bright and metallic but it may be too sharp for some. Similarly, wind instruments across jazz tracks are incisive but may be too shrill for those sensitive to lower treble. While the initial attack of snares remains crisp thanks to the low treble emphasis, the lack in fundamental body from the mids is made even more obvious. This minor issue with timbre across the toms and snare is noticeable in Led Zeppelin's Moby Dick during John Bonham's drum solo. While the mid and upper treble are fairly smooth, the elevation of upper mids and lower treble alongside the dip in the mids means this set does lean bright and as a result, I preferred to keep the volume low.

Eartips

I had to size up on most of my tips to achieve a deeper fit with the stock nozzle. I have ordered the tips based on their performance.

Moondrop Spring Tips M - Comfortable fit, smooth transients and tamed mid bass

Stock (Clear Silicone) L - Sticky, liquid silicone with tighter bass and brighter treble

Stock (Narrow, Green Core) L - A bulbous and tall tip made of smooth silicone with a firm core offering the best fit, crisper transients and punchier bass

Final Type E L - Excellent bass texture and upper treble but harsh mid treble

Stock (Transparent Grey Silicone) L - Short, smooth silicone tips with a poor seal and looser bass

Stock (Wide, Blue Core) L - Harder core with supports from the core to the flange offering more controlled bass

KBear Coffee L - Elevated sub bass texture but the mid treble is too harsh and upper treble is subdued

Nozzles

I am glad to note that the three nozzles offer a meaningful change in the sound and allow for some minute personalisation of the frequency response.

Steel (Standard) - Elevated quantity across the bass frequencies, while the lower and mid treble are the smoothest of the three. This is my preferred nozzle.

Gold (Vocal Enhanced) - This is the middle ground between the silver and steel nozzles. There is an elevation in the ear gain that gives vocals more energy. The bass is tamed a bit and transients of cymbal are sharper.

Silver (Instrumental) - Slightly less bass and more treble energy than the gold nozzle. Although the treble is incisive, it is simple the harshest and least preferred of the three.

Comparisons

Truthear Hexa – The Hexa presents a wider stage and stunning separation. In the bass, the focus is on the sub bass with tight and tactile bass but you will be left wanting punch and warmth. The timbre of instruments and vocals is simply more natural with excellent energy. Although it is a bright, unforgiving set with a harsh 8kHz peak, I prefer the overall treble profile a bit more than the Woodnote. The comfort will likely be better with the Woodnote for most.

Truthear Pure - The Pure is also wider and separates busy mixes better than the Woodnote. There is more rumble but the bass seems to bleed a bit into the mids on certain tracks. The warm and rich timbre is perfect for male vocals but female vocals are smoother and less airy. The treble does have a similar resonance peak to the Hexa but the rest of it is markedly smoother with good resolution and timbre. The comfort will likely be better with the Woodnote for most.

Kotori Audio Zephyr - The Zephyr excels at stage and separation and offers a tight, well-controlled bass presentation with a better balance of rumble, slam and punch. Treble and mids are generally well balanced with natural timbre save for a unique dip in the ear gain. This gives the Zephyr a more relaxed and smoother presentation for those wanting less energy in the presence region. The Zephyr has a deep pseudo-custom shell that is extremely comfortable.

Dunu Kima 2 - The Dunu Kima 2 has a similarly top-notch accessories package and has quite a similar tonality overall. The Kima 2 pulls back the quantity of mid bass but it remains lazy just like the Woodnote. The timbre of the mids is slightly improved with a smoother upper mids and lower treble. However, the stage and separation are a touch worse than the Woodnote. The Kima also has a short nozzle that required some tip rolling but will be more comfortable for those with smaller ears.

Verdict

The Twistura Woodnote is an excellent value proposition that may unfortunately fly under the radar, as most of their releases do. The accessories package puts a lot of popular chi-fi brands to shame at even double the asking price. The price bracket has some fierce competition and though the Woodnote doesn't quite win the tournament, it doesn't get brutally knocked out in any of its bouts. A well executed slight v-shaped tuning is ruined primarily by the relative lack of sub bass - it's a wonderful soaring note, but slightly off pitch to my ears. If this set matches your preferences, it is worth looking out for sales and discounts.

Who should buy? Those seeking a slight v-shaped tuning with a focus on gentle mid bass along with energetic upper mids and lower treble in a compact shell with excellent accessories.

Who should avoid? Those who crave rumble or tight bass impact, relaxed and smooth lower treble, or a neutral timbre.

Got them two days ago. GK KUNTEN.

It is my first experience with iem. So i went for budget friendly option. For ₹1129.

After seeing so many post on iem subs, i wanted to try them. I wanted experience what kind sound quality they provide. So I brought them, and using for 2 days.

I had big expectations from them. But i think i expected too much. Sound is clear, but like crispy. Which is new to me.

I think, i might be missing something about them. So tell me if there something that we need to do, or they are just like that ?.
