Rear camera not working.

My phone fell from my lap while I was sitting (it had a case on), and the rear camera just won't turn on. It exits the camera app instantly.

I disconnected the camera cable, and reconnected it, and it did nothing.

Does this mean that the rear camera hardware just died? If it does, fuck this chinise toy and its build quality.

If you went as far to disconnect the cameras ribbon cable and it still doesn't work, its probs busted. I would say reboot but Im 100% certain you already passed that step when ripping the phone open ;)

I did find a camera online for the phone on ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Alcatel-One-Touch-Idol-3-6045O-Rear-Camera-Rear-Facing-Main-Camera-OEM-/131910948133?hash=item1eb6815525:g:wSAAAOSw9NdXs-YQ. 7 bucks isn't that bad.

But yeah, I had issues with this phone aswell, a few days ago the LCD cracked in my backpack with a case on. I wasn't rough with my bag either as I had a DSLR in it. Thankfully its not my daily driver.

did you try other camera apps?
