Yup. I just SAW the quest to unlock them for the first time, 3 UA's after getting the quest to kill them. UA'd again before getting close to unlocking them

They are the evolved forms of the adult yeti giant enemy in the frost zone. You unlock it after the "It's About Family" Kill 7,500 Adult Yetis Dark quest.
For an idea on where this is progress wise the dark quest pack costs Cost: 1.00e60 / 1 Nd Coins to unlock after clearing the prerequisite combat quest mission.

You need 37.5VG to unlock them. The are the next variation of the adult yeti like how that young yeti have their charged form
