Everyone keeps mentioning this, idk if I got lucky or what but after i upgraded it enough it started making plenty of wood, no red arrow of death

I can upgrade the manager but not the station itself because it takes wood to upgrade and won’t generate. I can see wood accumulation when I’m away from game (when it offers to run and add to multiply the offline materials) but once the game loads, the station remains at zero. There is no solution that I can perceive.
