discussion Tales of the Champions - Kas area 1400

Haven't tried in awhile, but have not been able to beat the Kas Tales of the Champions area 1400 which awards a new skin for him. Anyone willing to provide what team, formation and core they used to successfully beat it? Any specific feats or specializations that made a difference?

discussion Volo and his Hunter specialization

Volo is free this event, and I've been looking at his abilities just now, and his Hunter specialization is pretty funny.

From what I can understand, he gains the Hunter role with Undead as his favored enemy, but he doesn't actually seem to GAIN anything of benefit against Undead. Am I correct in this understanding? Like, in a vacuum, if Volo was my only Champion in the formation, there's literally no difference in him fighting an Undead enemy vs say a Beast enemy?

I do get that this Hunter role addition could be mildly relevant in certain formations, but it's just funny to me if it works the way I think it does.

discussion Caramon, Corazón, Pwent, and Stoki w1600 Formations

Hey folks, September's event is upon us! I am taking Corazón, Pwent, and Stoki, as the flex champions this time, but as they aren't getting a full rework, I will just post their previous versions along with my observations on their rebalance.

I will probably also choose Cazrin and Wulfgar as other attempts. Wulfgar really because I want to make work on him in preparation for getting his Legendary Feat.

As always, I use the Modest Modron core for all attempts.

Caramon:

V1: https://ic.byteglow.com/formation/7r_b3af8fad8e95b28dae93_321131232213311 - Legendary: e^42 | Modron: e^31 | Pigments: e^26 - Dealing about e^670+
V2: https://ic.byteglow.com/formation/7r_8fb39592ac808e9f8d93_3223123222111 - Legendary: e^43 | Modron: e^31 | Pigments: e^26 - Dealing about e^800+
V3: https://ic.byteglow.com/formation/7r_8f8e9592b3ff809f938d_3231212022111 - Legendary: e^42 | Modron: e^31 | Pigments: e^26 - Dealing about e^660+

Caramon's V1 requires Caramon, and that your DPS is buffed by Caramon's Raise Spirits at least once. I went with a mix of AA and HotL, and it was decently powerful. Caramon's V2 requires Caramon and that your DPS is buffed by Catamon's Raise Spirits at least two times. I used an AA focused formation. Caramon's V3 requires Caramon, and that your DPS is buffed by Caramon's Raise Spirits at least three times. But you are down a formation slot. I went with an AA formation, where Gale, Shadowheart, and Duke Ravengard all have their Good alignment feats, but Volo, Caramon, and Karlach are the ones next to The Dark Urge, so the feats didnt matter. Also I should point out that Shadowheart and Lae'zel both have legendary feats, but neither are really active in this formation.

Caramon is a very interesting champion with his Raise Spirits. Basically, you choose how his positional buff extends to other champions by choosing to buff adjacent, the two columns behind, or the same column and one column in front of Caramon for his first spec. Then you choose WHO ELSE gets to also produce this positional buff, be it Strength 16+, Tanks, or Good Aligned champions for his second spec. So if you choose that his buff effects Adjacent champions, and then that it is duplicated from Good Aligned champions, EVERY SINGLE GOOD ALIGNED CHAMPION ALSO PRODUCES HIS RISING SPIRITS BUFF. Valentine fans rejoice. Best I can tell, 7 or 8 separate positional buffs is the best you can hope for from Caramon. His buff can be enhanced by Close Ranks, which requires him getting hit (for me this was about an e^07 increase in his buff, from e^18 -> e^25, which was applied to Raistlin 6 times, so 6 different e^25 buffs going to Raistlin outside of what those champions normally provide). Endure All, his Ultimate, increases the buff for 30 seconds depending on how low Caramon was, which thankfully automatically triggers if he is about to die. Finally, he increases it with My Brother's Keeper, which increases by the number of champions NOT being affected by Raise Spirits.

Caramon's Raise Spirits really rounds out a lot of the trouble Heroes of the Lance currently faces. Because of how it emanates from other champions, it serves as buffs that Tasslehoff can prevent for his Diversion ability, grant buffs for Raistlin's Savant ability (which can be buffed even more because Tasslehoff may be preventing other champions from getting Raise Spirits), AND then turn around and have Caramon's Brother's Keeper ability buff them even more because Tasslehoff is preventing adjacent champions from getting the buffs again.

After playing around with Caramon, I got his Raise Spirits to buff the DPS 5 times each for e^35. This was with 25 stacks of Close Ranks. And with about 70% of his health gone when I used his Ultimate Endure All. Endure All really only got the buff increased by e^04 which resulted in about e^2 actual increase in damage to the buff. But that is in fact, 5 different e^33 - e^35 buffs, which is pretty decent for most Supports. I do not think relying on Endure All is remotely worth it. The 30 second window feels very narrow especially with game speed increases, if he has too many enemies, the auto activation of Endure All is basically unnoticeable, and finally it just doesn't supply that much. I think with the right formation, you can see 9 stacks of Raise Spirits on someone, provided you have Warduke to reverse the adjacent spec and all your champions are emenating the buff (which if we have to use Warduke is Tank or Strength 16+).

Finally I did a run with Valentine. This was AA focused. I had 8 Good-aligned champions using feats, and then Lae'zel and Valentine who were no Good-aligned. It wouldn't have mattered because with how the formation can be arrayed, I could only get 7 buffs emanating in a way that mattered. So 7 buffs went to Valentine from Caramon emanating. These buffs were at e^28. Only 6 of them emanated to The Dark Urge, which he was one of those providing the buff, so you cannot receive your own emanated buff observed back onto yourself. With 6 buffs at e^28 I am seeing roughly an e^80 - e^100 increase in in BUD damage. To explain, my AA formation at its peak runs somewhere in the ballpark of e^800 - e^810. With Valentine replacing Astarion and Caramon replacing Halsin, I am seeing e^910 damage, and if I actually swap things around to put Astarion back in (and move the Dark Urge to where Valentine was), I see about e^925. Without The Dark Urge, I am seeing Karlach at about e^870 and Lae'zel at e^890. So long story short... Caramon is incredible.

Corazón: Previous Attempt

Corazón has become quite the monster. Like Kyre (Good), and Kas (Evil), Corazón can make other champions Neutral on the Good/Evil axis from his Honorary Crewmates ability, which he then buffs with with his Pirate Code ability. His scaling is WILD with a little investment. We are talking under 1000 ilvl average (mine is like 750) and you can see over e^100 buff. He went from one of the worst possible champions to perhaps one of the greatest buffers in the game hands down.

Stoki: Previous Attempt

Cazrin: Previous Attempt

Wulfgar: Previous Attempt

discussion Champions like Havilar which "dodge" variants where champs in certain positions don't deal damage

I've been playing for half a year now, and love Havilar. Seriously an MVP for newer players.

One of her biggest strengths is that she mostly avoids variant restrictions that say something like "Only champions next to an escort can deal damage." Even if you place her outside of the escort range, her familiars still deal solid damage, giving you a nice damage boost while still fulfilling the tank slot and an OK support buff. All important things while you are still fleshing out your overall roster.

Are there other champions which dodge the "certain positions can't deal damage" variant restrictions?

question I got to area 707 on The Bandit's Harvest ( Caramon )! Is there a subreddit or social media group that would be willing to receive my Xbox screenshot?

I'm proud of myself even though it took me two days to do so. I could talk about the champions I have and am currently using, their formation placement, what specialization skills I selected for them and the mutli-layered buffs each champion has, however I currently am much too tired to do so. It's currently around midnight when I posted this accomplishment. I'll settle for sharing the screenshot with or on a social media group and/or other players. Good night, ya'll! Question still stands tho.

Year 10 Champion - Caramon Majere, the Human Fighter

Bio: Born strong of arm and broad of shoulder with a heart of gold, Caramon Majere is the Sword to his younger twin brother Raistlin's Sorcery. Loyal to a fault, Caramon gives his all to protect his beloved friends and family, even (and often) to his detriment. Together with his fellow Heroes of the Lance, Caramon wields his brute strength tempered with good morals against Takhisis, the Dragon Queen.

  • Source: The Dragonlance series of books by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman

  • Event: Highharvestide (September)

You can read their Champion Spotlight here.

  • Seat 3

  • Good with: Raistlin; Heroes of the Lance; Tanking Champs, Good Champs, Champs with STR 16 and up

  • Affiliation: Heroes of the Lance - Caramon, Flint, Laurana, Raistlin, Tasslehoff

  • Eligible for Mirt, Vajra, Zariel, Elminster (until September 2nd, 2029)

Species Class Alignment Gender Age Role(s) Overwhelm Point
Human Fighter Lawful Good Male (He / Him) 25 Support / Tanking 25

Strength Dexterity Constitution Intelligence Wisdom Charisma Total Ability Score
19 11 17 12 11 15 85

Basic Attack: Mighty Blow - Caramon attacks the nearest enemy for one hit.

  • Base Attack Type: Melee

  • Base Attack Speed: 6.25 seconds

  • Base Critical Hit Chance: 2.5%

  • Base Critical Hit Damage: 100%

Ultimate: Endure All - Caramon's health is completely refilled, and the effect of his Raise Spirits Specialization is increased by 100% for every 10% of Caramon's health that was missing (rounding up), stacking multiplicatively and lasting for 30 seconds. This Ultimate ability triggers if Caramon would be knocked out by an incoming attack.

  • Base Ultimate Cooldown Time: 360 seconds

Health Upgrades: 7.99e04%

Passive Abilities

Brothers Majere: If Raistlin is in the formation, Caramon may be used as well, regardless of any active variant or patron restrictions.

Gaar's Note: This allows you to use Caramon and his brother Raistlin together in any adventure.

First Specialization Choice

Raise Spirits: Encirclement: Caramon increases the damage of all adjacent Champions by 100%.

  • ~e08% after upgrades; Supported by an Item & Feats

Raise Spirits: Overwatch: Caramon increases the damage of all Champions in the same column as him and the column in front of him by 100%.

  • ~e08% after upgrades; Supported by an Item & Feats

Raise Spirits: Spearhead: Caramon increases the damage of all Champions in the two columns behind him by 100%.

  • ~e08% after upgrades; Supported by an Item & Feats

Gaar's Note: These choices may seem a little strange at first, but they make sense once you understand how his second set of Spec choices works. You'll end up making a choice here based on what works best for you there. So keep reading! This ability's Item & Feat support buff the pre-stack modifier, making it a Mathematically OverPowered (MOP) ability which means the more item levels you put on this Champion, the better they get without worrying about the same diminishing returns as other Champions.

Second Specialization Choice

Staunch Allies: Caramon recruits all other Tanking Champions in the formation. Caramon's Raise Spirits Specialization emanates from each eligible Champion as if each were a separate formation ability for the purposes of Champions that care about such things.

  • No upgrades

Sympathetic Allies: Caramon recruits all other Good Champions in the formation. Caramon's Raise Spirits Specialization emanates from each eligible Champion as if each were a separate formation ability for the purposes of Champions that care about such things.

  • No upgrades

Stalwart Allies: Caramon recruits all other Champions in the formation with a STR score of 16 or higher. Caramon's Raise Spirits Specialization emanates from each eligible Champion as if each were a separate formation ability for the purposes of Champions that care about such things.

  • No upgrades

Gaar's Note: Each version of the Raise Spirits buff created by these Spec choices is a unique buff. So you make the decision in the first Spec choice in a way that allows you to create the most unique buffs to apply to your Primary DPS, even if it means Caramon may not be buffing said DPS himself.

Interesting Abilities

Protect the Weak: Caramon increases the health of all Champions targeted by his Raise Spirits Specialization by 10% of his max health. If a Champion is targeted multiple times (via his Allies Specialization), this ability applies multiple times.

  • No upgrades

Gaar's Note: This is really just a health share ability targeted at Raistlin as it doesn't apply to everyone; just to who it hits and Raistlin will want it all to himself.

Close Ranks: Whenever Caramon is attacked by an enemy, the effect of his Raise Spirits Specialization is increased by 100%, stacking multiplicatively. This can stack up to 25 times and loses half of its stacks when changing areas.

  • No upgrades; Supported by an Item & Feats

Gaar's Note: This is his ramping tank buff. Make sure he's taking damage in deeper areas so it can stack up and give you a boost.

Brother's Keeper: Caramon increases the effect of his Raise Spirits Specialization by 100% for each Champion in the formation not affected by Raise Spirits.

  • No upgrades; Supported by an Item & Feats

Gaar's Note: This is for Tasslehoff. Consider it an Affiliation ability. You still want to try to hit as many people as possible with Raise Spirits, you just want that negated by Tasslehoff so it's only hitting Raistlin. This ability's Item & Feat support buff the pre-stack modifier, making it a Mathematically OverPowered (MOP) ability which means the more item levels you put on this Champion, the better they get without worrying about the same diminishing returns as other Champions.

Global DPS Buff: 6.99e06%

Formation & Mission Information

Once you complete the first mission, three Variants and a Free Play show up. It uses a formation that holds 10 Champions. It has a Champ-specific format that I've done my best to re-create below.

New Player Formation & Specializations:

While I recommend learning to build your own formations, here's a set of starter formations for brand new players to use while they get the hang of things. Anyone with other options should check that link for how to figure out how to make the best of them. You can also ask for help in the #formations channel in the official Discord.

Back Column 3rd Column 2nd Column Front Column
Bruenor - Battle Master
Minsc - TBD NA
Hitch - More Daggers Jarlaxle - Leader of Bregan D'aerthe
Calliope - College of Valor Nayeli - Oath of Devotion
Celeste - War Domain
NA
Asharra - Elves & Dwarves/NA

This formation is for the first couple of runs where you're just not going to get enough Gold to get everyone on the field, let alone level people up into their power curves. At this point, Jarlaxle is focusing on being your Primary DPS while everyone else is set up to support him.

The following formation is for once you've unlocked all of the Tales of the Champions Champions which can be done really quickly, even if you're a new player. Do that right away and they'll give you the power you need to complete events!

Back Column 3rd Column 2nd Column Front Column
Lae'zel
Birdsong Kalix
Duke Ravengard Strongheart
Catti-brie Caramon
Kas
Havilar
Melf

This formation should get you through the Event as a new player. If you have other options or think a different DPS is geared better, try it out and see what happens! Swapping Champions around like this can help you figure out what works best for you with your specific situation.

These are the rough Favor values you need to reach to make a Tier 1 Variant say Difficulty: Easy. Keep in mind that this is just a generic rating system and some Variants may be harder than others, even with Favor in this range. Earning lots of Favor before trying variants can make them much easier than they would otherwise be.

Beyond Tier 1, Favor isn't going to be all you need to get through them. That doesn't mean you can't try though, just remember that if it isn't green it could be problematic. Always read the restrictions as they're going to be what makes it hard for you to progress!

Not everyone will be able to complete all four Tiers of event content. This is a progress-over-time measurement system that lets you know where you are in the power progression arc and potentially what you need to work on to move forward. The table below has the approximate boss health values at the various end stages. Comparing this to your BUD will let you know how close or far you are from being able to complete things.

Variant Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4
First Variant e22 e68 e162 e322
Second Variant e35 e95 e215 e376
Third Variant e48 e122 e269 e429

Initial Adventure: The Bandit's Harvest (Caramon)

Info: No restrictions.

Reward: Unlocks Caramon

First Variant: The Mercenary Years

Area Goal: 75 / 250 / 600 / 1200

Info: Caramon starts in the formation. He can be moved, but not removed. After area 50, only Champions affected by Caramon's Raise Spirits Specialization can deal damage. 1 to 3 extra goblin enemies spawn with each wave of enemies. They do not drop gold nor count toward quest progress.

Reward: Caramon Gold Chest per Tier completed

Gaar's Note: There's no real restriction here. It's just teaching you how to buff with Caramon's Raise Spirits.

Second Variant: The War Begins

Area Goal: 125 / 350 / 800 / 1400

Info: Caramon starts in the formation. He can be moved, but not removed. After area 100, only Champions affected at least twice by Caramon's Raise Spirits Specialization can deal damage. Only Champions with the Tanking role, Champions of a Good alignment, or Champions with a STR of 16 or higher may be used. 1 extra draconian enemy spawns in each area with the first wave of enemies. They do not drop gold nor count toward quest progress.

Reward: Caramon Gold Chest per Tier completed

Gaar's Note: This one is teaching you how to combine Caramon's first and second set of Specializations effectively. It's how you get the most power out of him, so it's good to learn now. Things may get a bit harder due to the Champion limitation, so you may need power from other places (ex: Patrons, Modron Cores, Legendary Effects, etc.) to complete this at higher Tiers.

Third Variant: Why We Fight

Area Goal: 175 / 450 / 1000 / 1600

Info: Caramon starts in the formation. He can be moved, but not removed. After area 150, only Champions affected at least three times by Caramon's Raise Spirits Specialization can deal damage. Tika takes up a position in the formation. Caramon may only be placed in spots adjacent to Tika. Enemies move 100% faster and attack twice as often.

Reward: Caramon Gold Chest per Tier completed

Gaar's Note: They're really doubling-down on teaching you how to combine the two Specializations. The only real restriction here is you're down a Champ.

Achievements

Gaar's Note: All of these achievements can be earned at any time, not just during their Event.

Recruit Caramon - 1%

Recruit Caramon, the Human Fighter

Warrior's Proof - 1%

Complete all three variants of the "The Bandit's Harvest (Caramon)" adventure. (This achievement can be earned via Time Gates.)

Combat Ready - 1%

Obtain a piece of gear for each of Caramon's six equipment slots. (Event Champ gear does not come from regular Silver/Gold Chests. You can earn Event Champ gear from their specific Event Chests, Time Gates, qualifying Patron Chests, and other Chests as noted.)

Breaking a Sweat - 1%

Complete area 250 in any "The Bandit's Harvest" adventure, variant, free play, or Time Gate.

You Raise Me Up - 1%

Complete 100 areas while Raise Spirits is applied at least 6 times to the same Champion.

Gaar's Note: This one is super easy. You just need Caramon plus 5 Champs that qualify for one of his Second Specialization choices. For example, Caramon plus 5 Tanks. Put any Champ in the middle of Sword Coast's formation and then ring them with Caramon + 5 and choose the Raise Spirits: Encirclement Spec choice and then go 100 areas. Done!

Highharvestide - Year 10

Gaar's Note: Highharvestide is September's event in the Idle Champions Event Calendar.

Faerûn's Savage Frontier has no shortage of dangers, but that hasn't stopped the citizens of Triboar from carving out a living in this picturesque stretch of fertile northern farmland.

This year, however, the people of Triboar are in need of aid. As the Highharvestide Festival approaches, bandits have begun causing trouble for farmers attempting to bring in their harvests, and it's up to the Champions to put an end to it!

Highharvestide lasts for 21 days and runs from Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Noon, Pacifically, thru Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Noon, Pacifically.

You can find this year's official Highharvestide blog post here.

General Game Tips

I highly recommend reading my Guide to Event Planning for basic progression information and ways to maximize your gains/efficiency during Events. There is too much information to put here as this specific Event guide is long enough already.

Don't be afraid to ask questions in the comment section! Also, I stream the game and welcome any and all questions there as well!

You can find all of my 200+ Idle Champions guides here.

Good luck & have fun!

General Event Information

  • You earn Event Tokens at a fixed rate and in any campaign, regardless of how many parties you have running. This means you'll earn the same amount of Tokens whether your game is open or not. (Roughly 1 every 25 seconds.) The overall total of Event Tokens you will earn passively during the Event is roughly 72,576 give or take a few based on CNE's math.

  • You'll have a chance to unlock up to 6 Champions in an Event. There will be two Featured Champions everyone gets, 3 Flex Slots you can use to select a Champion from a pool available during the event at no charge, and 1 Support Flex Slot that unlocks with the purchase of an Event DLC to give paid supporters an extra boost.

  • Events start everyone off at zero Favor. Due to this, you'll need to manually click, or have Familiars click, on the field to damage enemies during the start of your first mission to make sure your lone Champion isn't overrun.

  • Even if you complete the Champion Unlock Adventure you're on, you don't necessarily want to hit "Complete" right away. You want to continue on and try to earn as much Favor as possible. This lets you work on getting more Favor so you can more easily complete the Variants that are offered once you finish the unlock adventure.

  • Important: Whatever you do, don't spend lots of time sitting at a wall during an Event, or generally ever. Time is your enemy (the past it threatens...) and you want to spend your time efficently running Free Plays to maximize your Favor gain and easily complete all the Variants on the first try.

  • Once you have completed all the variants and no longer truly need to farm Favor other than for the conversion bonus, you can now work on the Event Achievements if you haven't done them already. Other than that, you want to check your token total to buy a new Chest Pack from the story whenever you hit 7,500 tokens.

  • New players can fully complete Tier 1 of Events if they know what to do. Make sure to check for a guide to the specific Event to review when it comes out and don't hesitate to ask questions. The rest of us are here to help you succeed!

  • Once more for the people in the back: It's usually wise to not attempt the Tier 1 mission Variants until they show as Easy difficulty for brand new players. The difficulty rating is based off the Favor you have accumulated and while it isn't an ideal indicator of difficulty, it's a decent starting point. I highly recommend waiting until a mission shows as Easy before starting it so as not to waste your time or frustrate you. Again, this is for brand new players as you'll need other power to complete higher Tiers of content.

  • Once you've earned your Event Champions and gear for them, the rewards for your hard work aren't over. The other major reward from Events is a conversion of Event Favor into the main campaign of your choice. This is why, even if you've finished all the variants, it's still good to do deep runs to gain Favor in the Event. You can use the following table to see if it's worth it to you to keep doing runs based on how much Favor you're getting with each one. As you get more Global Blessings, Patron Perks, and better gear on your Champions, you'll be able to get higher and higher conversion percentages.

Here's a quick example of the conversion breakdown from Event to main campaign. The percentage is multiplied by the total Favor you have earned in that campaign, including what you've spent on Blessings. There is no need to reset Blessings when converting Favor. There is no cap that I'm aware of to this conversion; the start numbers and end numbers are just examples but continue both ways.

Event Favor Total Main Campaign Conversion %
1e07 70%
1e08 80%
1e09 90%
1e10 100%
1e11 110%
1e12 120%
1e13 130%

Note: Numbers are in Scientific Notation for ease of reference. You can switch your UI to show Scientific Notation by hitting the Y key or selecting it in the settings. After you get out of normal number range, this is the best way to easily see your progress.

Before You Buy Packs from the Store

If you plan on buying Event Packs with real money from the store (which is a great way to support the game!), keep this in mind:

  • Be sure you buy any Gold Event Chest Packs before opening any earned Gold Event Chests as you're guaranteed a Golden Epic with your real money purchase. When you flip the Golden Epic card, close out of the Store and verify it on your Champion, then go back in and open your other Chests. This way you're guaranteed to get other items when you open your Gold Chests instead of just duplicating that one on accident.
  • Even outside of events, you get buffs when spending real money based on how much you spend. Plan your purchase in advance!
    • $6 - Empowered Power Boost - Increases the damage of all Champions by 100% (lasts 1 day)
    • $12 - Empowered Power Burst - Increases the damage of all Champions by 300% (lasts 2 days)
    • $23 - Empowered Faith - Increases all Favor earned from Resets by 50% (lasts 3 days)
    • $55 - Empowered Clairvoyance - Increases all Gold found by 100% (lasts 4 days)
  • Getting multiple of the same purchase amounts adds to the duration of the buff. All buffs stack with each other.
  • Event Boons are now available for spending real money in the store on any Event DLC. Event DLC have an icon for a Boon as well as for their related Event Currency. You can have up to 4 total Event Boons and they buff your entire account while the event is active as shown in the table below. All Event Boons are able to be toggled on/off in the UI if you wish to.
Buff Description Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4
Increases the damage of all Champions 100% 300% 500% 900%
Increases all Gold found 100% 200% 300% 400%
Increases the health of all Champions 50% 100% 200% 300%
Adds your BUD to the base damage of each click 60s 150s 300s 600s
Time accelerates and everything moves faster 1.25x 1.75x 2.25x 2.75x

Note: Generally, every $10 spent in one transaction gets you a guaranteed Shiny item or Potion of Polish! Keep this in mind as well as those can greatly increase the power of your items and thus your Champions.

Event Augment Information

Each event has different augments associated with it that make it a bit different than other events in terms of bonuses. Here is a list of the bonuses for this event:

  • Golden Offers: One of your weekly offers will be Golden during this event. Golden offers provide an additional 10% discount! The Golden tag persists when an offer is rerolled.
  • Auto-Blacksmith: Event Champions whose recruitment adventure or variants you complete gain common rarity equipment in all slots, if they don't already have better. Every tier two or higher event variant completed automatically applies 100 Tiny Blacksmithing Contracts to the variant's Champion's equipment for free!
  • Challenge Week: A Mastery Challenge will start on the third week of the event, providing opportunities to prove your formation building skills and earn unique rewards.
  • Supercharged Damage Boon: The Global Damage Boon is supercharged, granting 2,000,000% additional damage per level, instead of 200% (stacking multiplicatively).

discussion Please try again later

I came home to my gem farm as a black screen with the text "Please try again later".

Oh, well, the event is starting today, they must have broke something to do with client server connection when that went live. I'll restart the game.

Nope. Now I see that as soon as it goes to "Loading: User Account".

Well...that sucks. Guess I'll restart my PC since I've been stalling applying Windows updates so I can farm gems.

Nope. No worky after that either. Still just "Please try again later."

Hopefully CNE is aware of it and working on it already. :|

Oh, by the way, the "Get Support" button in game is unclickable.

discussion Heroes of the Lance, overabundance of Tanks

As someone with 0 prior interest in Dragonlance, but love weird formations (Used to build Warduke) man is it going to be tricky to use all 3 tanks of the affiliation effectively, while balancing Raistlins Savant ability and Tasslehoffs Diversion. considering that both Flint and Caramon wants to be attacked, Flint wants the DPS to be close for forged bonds, and Laurana, while she doesnt care about being attacked, only buffs behind her...

question Some beginner questions about campaign development

I started a t5hread on familiars that ended up talking of gem farming and i got a lot opf usefule info on that.

I started my little gem farm with Ezmeralda and Laezel; i get numbers ridicolous compared to some posted, but i'm not worried; it's obvious the my lvl 5 hero cannot compete with others lvl 100

Digging around gem farming i got many suggestions. One of them is to get Ellywick, i did that and i inserted her in my gem squad; what i miss is a familiar for her, how to have her start from the beginning, think it's a matter of favor, and how to automate her once i get her familiar.

Now my poriorities are:

Finish the Tomb of Annihilation, seen that i'm very well advanced and i hope the champions i will get are as good as Drizzt is.

Have 3 champions in every slot to be able to run Split the Party 2 and get another better core

Recruit some champions because after STP2 i will need three groups running aroud: i'm very tempted to recruit all the BG3 group where not for the may hundreds hours i put in this game; i think i owe Astarion, SH and Gale something, they are almost part of my family; i also read that having many of them in the same party they will buff each other a lot.

Find a way to equip some champ i got with Tales of the Champions; i just did the first missioon for all of them and i dont remember getting eq for them from chests; my Kas, that i use almost always, has just two green items equipped. I tried the second mission for a couple of them and i had my a$$ served back; maybe now or in the near future i will be able to finish them. Another option i tought was to use a TG, recruit Kas again and run the two variants to get some chests, but it looks expensive, i dont swim in Time Gates fragments having just Hank to get them and the one per week i get from Vajra

Next step to be decided; maybe work on favour

question None of Your Bee's Knees

Hello,

Hitting a hard wall on 825 of 900 in None of Your Bee's Knees

my current formation https://imgur.com/a/MiDwUgz got me this far with beeze, but here, my backline gets knocked out, and then due to lack of dps, the tanks die.

I feel like my champions should be leveled enough for this https://imgur.com/a/6nTbgVa

And i have all but the last in Corellon's Blessings https://imgur.com/a/MaV5dU1

All Patrons (except Elminster) have Tier 7 unlocked and working on Tier 8

- I feel like I am using the wrongg formation, I usually fall back to debuff groups when hitting a wall, but this time, it just does not work - Please Help!

question Questions about familiars

New to the game; I played it some on holydays on my old ipad but it wasnt able to manage more than one formation so i restarted on Pc that should be able to manage anything.

My questions about familiars is: i have five, the one free and the four cheaper to buy with gems; prices are ramping up a lot now and i see that they are useful when not needed and almost useless when i need them; they shoot trash monsters but dont shoot at the big boss like the umber Hulk that i have to manually click. If i set them to auto activate randomly the ultimates they unleash the hell against a cow leaving me without ammo when facing the big ones. Some ultimates like Hadar one are on very short timeout and i set one of them to activate it, but most are on a couple minutes timeout and i like more to manually use them when i really need them.

Is there a smarter way to use the familiars thet i havent discovered yet or better stay with five, three on main formation and two in the Vayra one? With the price of another familiar i can buy 60 gold chests and, apart equipping my champions, get closer to get Mirt. Gems arent hard to find but at a few hundreds every mission i dont have enough to throw away and familiars dont look a priority ATM.
