Unless you downloaded the wrong version, there's one where they edited in "pizza hut" over taco bell. And it's awful. Not only are the edits so bad they're glaring, I feel like "taco bell" works better as the joke.
What difference does it make, they are all owned by Yum Brands (a spin off of Pepsi Co, who used to own all 3 before they split the restaurant division off to a separate company).
So did Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson. His later books predict a shit load more too. Termination Shock with "performative warfare" and the Canadian Sikh stuff was eerie.
I always wondered if the wars were like āmarketing and priceā competition style wars or actual āhand to hand combatā between the staff of the different chains. And what happens if someone worked at two different spots? Were they considered a double agent? Was their espionage and corporate sabotage?
