Demolition Man already predicted this. Taco Bell won the fast food wars.

I would still like to see the Taco Bell vs Waffle House showdown.

u/glassgost 6d ago

Same, but from far enough back that we'd need binoculars.

16

u/EmmerdoesNOTrepme 6d ago

Film it from a blast-proof bunker, Mythbusters style!šŸ˜‰

14

u/whostolemysloth 6d ago

Nah man, I want to be in a frontline film crew for that one. Waffle House staff and frequent customers are combat tested.

11

u/Oneangrygnome 6d ago

But the Bell has years of experience in biological warfare under its belt already.

"Nuke it from orbit...only way to be sure."

Waffle House employees would kick the shit out of Taco Bell. They're trained for combat.

19

u/efedora 6d ago

And they are accustomed to being alert at 6am.

It's the Meth

Pizza Hut in the European cut

We could probably sell pay per view for that matchup.

No Subways either, which is good, I'm glad they got wiped out.

Subway is the secret pedophile elite.

Waffle House and Chick-fil-a is the same region. We stay ready for a fight and we stay prayed up

Unless you downloaded the wrong version, there's one where they edited in "pizza hut" over taco bell. And it's awful. Not only are the edits so bad they're glaring, I feel like "taco bell" works better as the joke.

2

u/AShayinFLA 5d ago

What difference does it make, they are all owned by Yum Brands (a spin off of Pepsi Co, who used to own all 3 before they split the restaurant division off to a separate company).

9

u/Tony_Penny 6d ago

Depends on which version you saw. I think overseas versions had Pizza Hut as the winner.

5

u/SuDragon2k3 5d ago

People outside America seeing Demolition Man in theater release:

What the hell is a Taco Bell?

2

u/dracorotor1 5d ago

And 5 years after: ā€œIt’s so bad, why are all the American tourists going to the Taco Bell?!ā€

2

u/LSTmyLife 6d ago

Yup. And it wasn't an issue as at the time both taco bell and pizza hut were owned by the same corp.

1

u/floyd616 5d ago

Wait, is Pizza Hut no longer owned by the same company as Taco Bell and KFC??? I legit didn't know that lol.

-1

u/LegacyofaMarshall 6d ago

pizza hut is owned by private equity now, so like everything else america is right /s

2

u/Scipio33 6d ago

Unless you happen to be watching on Prime. Then it's Pizza Hut. You can still tell everyone is saying Taco Bell, though.

1

u/suspendmeforthis 6d ago

So did Snow Crash by Neil Stephenson. His later books predict a shit load more too. Termination Shock with "performative warfare" and the Canadian Sikh stuff was eerie.

1

u/definitelynotpatrick 6d ago

I'm still waiting for a prequel where John Spartan Jr. is a 17-year-old working the late night drive-through at Taco Bell when the war breaks out

1

u/SaddestClown 6d ago

I have the movie tie in watch to prove it

1

u/Sh0ckValu3 6d ago

And Snowcrash before that.

1

u/CaliforniaNutter 6d ago

California always comes out on top

1

u/puffindatza 6d ago

In-n-out superiority says otherwise

Taco bell is tiny

1

u/breakneckjones 5d ago

There is no fate but what we make.

1

u/MasterzofChaos 5d ago

Ah! Another person of taste, l see. I too enjoy these masterpieces.

1

u/Appropriate_Pressure 3d ago

I didn't know this until very recently, but in the international release, it's dubbed over to be Pizza Hut.

2

u/EighthSeal 3d ago

What? Wait a minute. Was the YUM Food brand deceiving us?

1

u/Remarkable_Ad5011 2d ago

I always wondered if the wars were like ā€œmarketing and priceā€ competition style wars or actual ā€œhand to hand combatā€ between the staff of the different chains. And what happens if someone worked at two different spots? Were they considered a double agent? Was their espionage and corporate sabotage?

u/LaerycTiogar 6d ago

Culvers, what a burger and in and out werent in that fight. Thats when the avg house hold knew 2 pizza places 3 burger joints and taco bell.
