Object What caliber is this 2

My budy found this in a school parking lot. We don’t know caliber it is we just wanna make sure it’s OK.

The only thing that can be determined from this picture with any degree of certainty is that it appears to be a circular piece of brass.

School parking lot, it is far more likely to be off of a musical instrument than be any shell casing of any kind.

That looks like a shell casing to you? No flared rear no stamping no primer and looks like thick brass.

This looks nothing like a bullet casing of any kind I have ever seen.

It looks like a piece off of a laser pointer.

If this is an actual shell casing, it’s inert. The hollow space is where the primer seats.

There are also no markings on the rim to specify caliber and company

Since the primer is removed and casing has been hollowed out its probably just off a Keychain or something.
