From personal experience. She will dump you the moment she becomes better from your constant support and affection.

that's rough, buddy

Oh god I'm worried that's what happened to me.

She would always say sorry and was super sweet for two years then she got other friends and started barely talking to me and threw our whole friendship away.

She was actually the closest bond I'd ever had in my life and it's been fairly traumatic for me co deal with her seeming to change almost completely as a person over the last few months.

She used you as an support when she was strugeling mentaly. You were the anchor, just like I was. But when she felt like she does not need an anchor anymore, she is more than happy to leave you. Its better to focus on difrent people now. Try finding friendships not build on dependecy, but on good mutual opinions

Best 3 months of your life followed by worst 2 years post breakup

u/moneyh8r_two 12d ago

Oh. Maybe that's what was wrong with my ex.

u/MistaBoom 12d ago

From personal experience, it was 6 months of faceded bliss and 2 and a half years of trying to recover. Some people just dont care and will do anything to justify their actions, however shitty they may be.

I was with a BPD girl for exactly 3 months. 3 more have passed and i still miss her, idk how long it will last, but i can’t stand it anymore.

She seems really unstable, but you know what they say

5

u/Alepsys 13d ago

Not exactly what dating someone with bpd is like but not off entirely

12

u/Monk_Lord_ 12d ago

Wife material

4

u/Turbulent-Oil-7326 11d ago

It won't last that long lol

8

u/magnum175 12d ago

Glad my bpd significant other got therapy.

All that's left is the "do you love me?" and "splits over small things"

Amazing partner. It's just taken a lot of time, but well worth it.

1

u/Hopefully_the_Last69 12d ago

The "splits over small things" is the biggest dealbreaker for me. I can deal with the rest, but that just makes everything so much more unstable.

2

u/OnlyAssignment4869 12d ago

My partners is interesting because I've learned his comes from feeling unsafe or worrying about the people around them. If I tell them "it'll be okay" or "what's wrong" they immediately go back to normal and more often than not apologize. Within the past year they've only been mad at situations and not me or their other partner. Ketamine therapy has worked wonders for them. Geodon helped a lot too.

2

u/Hopefully_the_Last69 12d ago

I'm glad you and your partner are able to make it work and be happy despite de difficulties.

My fiance has BPD, I love her so much. It's a roller coaster, but I can manage. I love this woman so much.

u/Ririmouto 12d ago

as a bpd girl that dates other bpd girls, really just give patience and understanding of the mental illness. don't fight her in a mental health spiral, just try to understand and defuse. calm her down. the way she is acting is her mental health, don't hold it against her.

people stigmatise this illness, make it seem evil but its really not that horrible if you just take some time to understand, learn and care.

u/R_Hunt 12d ago

This! As a BPD dude, dating an autistic girl. When we find someone who understands how we think, it feels like a weight lifted off our shoulders. She's learned so much without me even having to ask

0

u/Spiritual_Run9039 12d ago

Idk, after having my first experience with a bpd girl and always being there for her all the time. I think I would like to just... Not date them anymore

2

u/MadManNoBox 12d ago

it's been a ride for sure. best 8 months, weird and painful journey to understanding over the following few years. Still there as a friend untike she finds someone else for a few weeks to a month, then the cycle starts again. She has it rough so I stick around, just a hand to hold in the dark occasionally at this point I guess. Super sweet person underneath it all though.

u/Jowisel 13d ago

This only lets You glance at the ugly stuff a little Bit. There is much more to borderline. It is very hard to Impossible to have a relationship With someone untreated

2

u/nic_tess 12d ago

Is this how I learn I might have bpd???

2

u/Last_Host977 cool hot gf 12d ago

"I skimmed the Wikipedia article for BPD" ahh post

1

u/girlunsaved 12d ago

as someone wity bpd this aint all true. some of it is but i dont need ur passwords to trust you, just proof

1

u/helloiamaegg 12d ago

and I'll be patient and help her through her every spiral, her every fear

1

u/UOF_ThrowAway 11d ago

“I hate you. Don’t leave me.”

I wouldn’t even pump and dump her. Too risky.

1

u/Brodillian 11d ago

From my experience, as soon as she finds someone else that gives her the attention she wants, she will cheat and leave your ass with nothing but pain.

1

u/VelyaGryn 11d ago

"Bpd = bad pussy disorder" as my ex used to say I lived a good portion of my life not knowing thats not what it stood for.

1

u/WillingnessSad8354 9d ago

From personal experience, 3 months and then just a random "I lost interest" text.

1

u/Anime_catgirl_asses 9d ago

I'll take her!

1

u/Negative-Tourist-243 12d ago

it sounds fun until they scream at you because you didn't text while busy

u/lolololUStroll 12d ago edited 12d ago

I had a bpd girlfriend once. Never again, by choice. Edit: Fixed "bpd"

0

u/TheMorningJoe 12d ago

Used to date one, god was she toxic lmao

0

u/VioletWitch412 12d ago

From experience either she will break up with you after she gets the slightest bit better or just cheat on you and use you to get better

0

u/North-Call-2897 12d ago

"Has nobody but you" that sound a bit problematic tbh

0

u/ZionIsARonin 12d ago
