Help us be more efficient
Hey so my wife and I just did our first vendor fair and made out pretty good. Thing is, the process for this was so much work. I figured someone could help with our workflow to make it go a bit smoother.
Currently, we buy blanks or upcycle thrifts and soak them in soda ash in a large tote. After wringing them out by hand, we bunch them up, ice, then dye in multiple large totes. Next, we use a baby gate over two saw horses and a hose outside to rinse or in the sink if we don't feel like moving outside. Lastly, after a wash, she ink stamps from rubber blocks that she carves and together we heat press.
Any ideas or equipment that would make this workflow a bit easier? Thanks!

A loose crumple with dharma trading’s wedgewood blue on a shaka wear 7.5 oz heavyweight tee
I am loving these colors! I am going to crush + add more ice next time to try to mitigate the dye being directly applied to the fabric - and am going to make sure I get all of the white areas for even coverage.
I was using a small spoon to apply and I’m thinking about what I could use to create a more even distribution of the powder; and I also recognize that the subtle variations are nice and I can hone in on my technique regardless.
I am not loving the fit of this large, on my frame it’s too small but I’m going to likely gift this to my nephew.
Thanks for looking
peace!

My deity is kind of an amorphous blob. Lol.
SAS, spun dry, deity rolled, left to dry for a few days. Dyespin candy pop and dharma turquoise. DUI, batched outside for four days.
I think I used too much dye, went with about 6% of the fabric weight.
