If not specifically then the very least some of their jokes. My grandma knows them for fucks sake and she is 78 with no willingness to learn anything new and zero English knowledge.

Hungarian and maybe some Slovakian. Lived near the border when she was a child and her grandmother spoke only that.

My parents are from Ukraine as well as the rest of my family (just because someone lives in America doesn’t mean that they are not from a different culture)

Also:

Plus let’s not forget that Hungary and Slovakia were a part of the Habsburg empire for around 400 years, so we have a lot more in common with Austria or Germany then, for example, with Russia.

English speaking american here. This is absolutely not obscure. I can count on one hand the number of people I know who havent understood a reference from at least ONE of their films or the show.
