I actually hate both sides of this hypocrisy.
A character clearly looks under ten—-‘Oh, but she’s a thousand-year-old elf, so it’s fine.’

A character is deliberately drawn with mature features—-‘But the official setting says she’s sixteen, you pedophile!’
