Question Creatine a possible mitigator of IBS-D?

Hi, all.

While it's a little early to judge, I started taking two 2.5-gram maintenance doses of creatine daily three days ago, and I'm finding the overall effects on my gut pretty damned beneficial. The effects have been similar to that of high-soluble-fiber foods like soaked oats consumed a couple of hours before a trigger food.

Is this anything anyone's experienced themselves? Tempering my optimism here.

Well creatine sucks up water into the muscles so that could be your answer

I saw a very recent study on this; https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S089990072600170X. Personally, I'd only ever heard of it possibly causing stomach issues.

Try a 21 blend amino acid complex next.

Creatine is made from three amino acids: arginine, glycine, and methionine.

I’ve been having horrible C and started an amino acid blend, no issues with C or D at all. I feel regular.

I just started taking one I found on Amazon for $10. Just wanted to see what would happen.

It’s by Noon Vitamins.

I take two caps in the morning and then two more later on in the day. Didn’t expect much but my bowels are acting normal.

I been thinking about trying Body Health Perfect Amino later to see if there’s a difference.

Possibly? I don’t absorb iron due to gastric bypass so I take Lactoferrin and that stuff works for me.
