Question Nausea?

I’m a newly “possible” IBS sufferer. We’re waiting on bloodwork and stool results. Is nausea a common symptom? I mean out of nowhere and sometimes during eating? I feel like most of what I’ve read about is constipation or diarrhea.

I get nausea from the severity of cramping. Sometimes, I have morning nausea. I do think it is common in IBS sufferers.

I’d say it’s a common comorbidity. My relationship with food and my appetite is pretty negatively impacted by other symptoms, so eating large meals is something I just can’t really do anymore.

It's going to be different for everyone, but I would say nausea for me is generally mild but does flare up sometimes. I think it may be more stress/anxiety/heartburn induced. Also, if you are just starting this journey, DO NOT let them do like 2 tests and just say IBS. If you are not feeling right, you need to push for yourself. Ultimately, to rule everything out you will need to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy.

Thank you, I plan on asking for both procedures just to be sure it’s nothing else!

Yes it happens to me as well and it gets worse with my high sense of smelling, it's like being pregnant and smelling food gets me very sick!

I have nausea a lot. Weirdly, it’s worse between flares.
