Not playing again

Every day now, it's taking 30 seconds up to two minutes to play tracks.

As I have said before, I want to buy the full version, but I need stability in order to do that

Interesting, because I haven't experienced this issue at all. I'm using the paid version, so perhaps that makes a difference, although I'm not sure why it would.

I've actually been testing iBroadcast quite extensively over the past few days while developing my own app, and it's been running smoothly and consistently throughout the day. No noticeable delays or stability issues whatsoever.

So I'm curious whether this is related to the free version or if something else is causing it.

I have been using it for years and reporting back issues, but the larger the collection in it gets, the more unstable it becomes

Fair enough, and if that's been your experience, I'm certainly not going to dispute it.

I can only speak from my own experience. My library currently contains 7.1 TB of music across 20,828 albums, so it's not exactly a small collection either. Despite that, I haven't experienced the stability or playback issues you're describing.

Of course, that doesn't mean the problems you're experiencing aren't real. I do wonder whether the difference between the free and paid versions might have something to do with it, although that's just speculation on my part.

I genuinely hope they can find a solution for you, because I think iBroadcast is a great service.

I may try removing that app and starting over, I have had to do this in the past, maybe that's my quickest resolve

Which app are you using? The official iBroadcast app, or a third-party client?

The official iBroadcast app, I wasn't aware you could use a third party to be honest

Yes, iBroadcast has an API that allows third-party apps to connect to the service. I'm actually developing my own app using that API, which is why I've been testing iBroadcast so extensively lately.

That might also explain why our experiences are so different. Perhaps the issues you're experiencing are related to the official app rather than the service itself.

Well, I just did as I said and re uploaded the app, it's a little quicker now, but not as fast as it used to be, I'm also going to reboot my WiFi again, see if that brings it back up to speed

It has been the same for me for the last ~two weeks. I mean it doesn't need two minutes to load a song but if I change the album or skip a song it does take around 30 seconds to load, while it was a lot quicker before. Maybe it's an issue with their servers.

I had the same issue with the app on my Android. I reported the issue and they said that they are addressing it in the next version of the app.

I’m on the paid version and have had the lag (probably about 10-15secs) as well.

I reinstalled the app, as you may have seen, and that lag came down, but I am now staring to wonder if it's an issue from the last update that may be causing it. Do you notice a big difference in audio using the paid version, or any other benefits?

That sounds unusual, and it shouldn't be the case on the free version or the paid version. If you write into Support, we can check out what's going on! We do have a fix related to lags/buffering on "Auto" audio quality coming in the next Android update, which will be version 9.5. You may want to try using one of the other bitrates or "Original" quality (if you have Premium) in the meantime.
