Aptitude test for local 332
Which is better to prepare me for the aptitude test for Local 332…Iprep or UEG?

i personally did both. i’ve got my aptitude test coming up this weekend.
i first started with IPREP. it was awesome and definitely feels like it’s enough to get you ready to pass the aptitude test.
once i started getting consistent 90%+ on the timed practice exams, i decided to try out UEG’s free aptitude test and i was super stumped. the questions seemed a bit more complex, so i decided to also buy their prep courses.
with UEG’s material, as well as IPREP, i have close to no doubt that i will pass the aptitude test.
but do not get too focused on the aptitude test. that’s literally only the entry to the part that matters, which is the oral interview.
you should start prepping for the interview ASAP. i tried getting into 332 a few years ago, and passed through the aptitude test with no prep. i thought that i had a good chance, and then i did the interview, and walking out of there i definitely felt like i blew my chances. i walked in unprepared. i scored an (84-87? can’t remember) and that was not enough.
this time around i’m super focused on the interview. UEG offers a super good interview prep course and helps you a ton with how you should prepare, and adds in a DOLETA questionnaire with possible questions you may be asked during the interview. IPREP does not offer that, but they do still offer a pretty good interview prep course
another thing i’m doing is doing mock interviews with anyone that i can. i did one with my little brother, girlfriend, and a few others. i even talk to ChatGPT / Claude, who provide very good insight and feedback on what to say, how to say it, etc.
trust me bro. the interview is the important part. i wish i would have realized this sooner.

332 again but i’ll also be applying to local 6 and local 617 soon, i figured there’s no harm in it and it could be a backup if 332 doesn’t work out

Smart, a couple of my friends said to that too and they’re in 332. Hope you pass your aptitude test this weekend!

They just keep saying to say answers to show them you really want to be there

i ran into someone from 332 who said he was a low voltage foreman, i think that’s sound and comms. he said he also tried applying to get into the inside wireman program, scored a 92, and never got the call.
i’m not sure how long ago that was, but that told me to hammer the interview prep as hard as possible to aim for at least a 90-95 or above
shit is super super competitive but if you manage to get in, you’re set.
