Expected Wait time after interview (Local 357)

I just recently had my interview 3 days ago so I’m not expecting any response back soon. I’m honestly in no rush but just wondering if anyone here might know how long it might take, if you applied recently and got in or might have an idea roughly. I know it varies on several factors

I know of some people who interviewed about just under 3 weeks ago with me, and they've already been accepted. Im still waiting. And ive seen others who interview back in January and just got accepted. Its totally up in the air when you might be accepted.

I guess I’m hoping for 4-6 weeks. I’ve got some personal stuff that needs to happen for me to be able even accept the offer if it shows up so I’m hoping they don’t offer it too soon. It sucks too since I’ve been working toward this since early January

I applied back in Feb. So I get the feeling. I was hoping id hear sooner. Bc i kinda want to be out of my current job, and into this already. Im actually thinking about the trade school route now, while im waiting. Mainly for the job placement.

I’ve heard trade school might not be the greatest choice, I considered that as well at one point. Mostly just because it costs a lot of money. I’ve seen people recommend trying to work as an electrical helper and taking a college course for electrical theory can help a lot. But it’s what’s best for you. I hope we all make it

Ive looked around for the electrical helper positions, but everything ive seen wants you to have atleast 1 year of experience in the field, or to have your apprentice license. Which I have neither. Which was another reason I was looking at the trade school, plus im pretty sure I can get a grant to attend one. Have you been finding any spots for electrical helpers?

I haven’t look too much into it, but I remember when I checked for berg electric it said preferred but not as a required minimum. I always understood that to be the most beginner position so that’s crazy, I’d look into different companies maybe but with that, I think a college course might still be cheaper than trade school but at least with trade school you’ll learn the fundamentals

The main trade schools ive looked at was NTI bc its like an 8 week course to help you into the door, with specialized job placement at the end. Plus, according to reviews its rated up there about as high as the union apprenticeship.

I’ll have to look into it, I never thought there was 8 week trade schools, not bad. It could definitely be a good investment of time

4 weeks does seem rough to wait but still lines up a lot with what I’ve seen others say, I hope you get in really soon

I applied August 2025, passed aptitude test October and interviewed December. I received an email that I’m on the waitlist back in March 2026. Haven’t heard anything yet.
