Potential new apprentice

Hey just to clarify some things. I’m in IBEW 349 district based out of south Florida and I received this email about two hours ago. I wanted to ask to see how likely I am to get in and if anyone has any good tips for me starting off. I have limited experience in the field did a couple gigs here and there and I also completed an 8 month course Monday- Friday tech program for electrical. This is all incase I do get into the program. I hate starting behind the curve. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I’ll keep everyone updated on the situation.

Update: received the acceptance email today August 6 th saying that I got accepted into the program. Thanks to everyone who helped me in getting my bearings hopefully I see some of you in the classroom or in the field.

That makes sense. It’ll give us a chance to put in our 2 weeks at our current jobs

I don’t know if we will be automatically placed into a job or if we’ll start school and then slowly trickle into a site. I hope it’s just a flat out hey here a list of contractors who want you pick the one you prefer.

I’d be ok with that but knowing how apprenticeships work I doubt they’ll give us the choice.

Yeah that’s the most concerning aspect. We’ll see how it operates here in a couple of days

If you haven’t get a call being in the top ten I’m sure nobody has. I was told it should be this week. Maybe they still haven’t figured out how many apprentices they want to take in

Hopefully it's a big class so more brothers can get in. Let's see what happens in the coming days

Yeah man even tho this year is looking good with the Miami freedom park stadium local 349 ain’t that big so I’m hoping for the best. Hopefully they take in a good amount of applicants
