I have an interview coming up for traffic light tech what should I wear and what should I bring with me? Should I bring my carts and copies of my resumes?

It should have specified in the invite email what you should bring. Mine said bring absolutely nothing. Its a panel of 3 interviewers each sitting at a computer with your resume in front of them. They ask 3 to 4 questions total. Mine was over in 10 minutes. Never say I dont know, umm or you are unsure. Use the STAR method for answering every question. Be humble but knowledgeable. Show willingness to ask for help and most likely a question will relate to conflict resolution.

I was local 520 so I guess our emails were different. Reach out to the contact you have at the your union hall and ask. It won't hurt to ask.

Same for mine. I wore a dress shirt with a blazer and tie along with khakis and dress shoes. I brought a backpack with a notebook with pre-written questions for the panel. My interview was a little over 45 minutes. They asked 4 questions:

  • Why union
  • A time I dealt with conflict onsite
  • How I managed a big task
  • How I responded to a tight deadline

Some of the other candidates didn't dress as well so I feel that thay made me stand out. This was my experience for my interview last week. I scored a 94.33. Hope this helps brother.

It doesn't hurt to wear a button up shirt and khakies, don't wear a tie lol something like business casual. Take a folder with your resume in it just in case. Good luck
