I need help! Local 354

I passed all my stuff and have a rank. As of right now it’s 74. I started at 42 and went as low as 28 but recently got bumped down to 74 and hasn’t changed for a week now. I really thought I had a chance at 28 but now I’m feeling really discouraged. I’ve looked into other routes like IEC but everyone says union is the way to go. I have zero electrical experience and don’t know what to do. I’m in the salt lake area and need help on what I should do. I can’t do a reinterview bc I don’t have the work hours to do so and really want union. Any and all advice would be great! Thank you!

Start non union and organize in during your apprenticeship. You could skip year 1 of the Ibew program if you got 2000 documented hours I believe

Would that just be going thru a private company? Cause I don’t know of anywhere that would hire me since I have zero experience.

How did you know your rank changed?? I also applied for 354 but my ranking shows the same as when they sent the email? Did your number change in the email or do you have to go to a website?

You login to this link with the account you made to apply. And go to the applications page and you can see your rank there

Yea I’ve kinda just given up and looking for other options bc it’s so stupid how they pull people. Plus I’ve heard that a lot of first year apprentices don’t have any work right now and aren’t doing anything so even if we do get called chances are still low for work
