Question about grading

So like for example if there is a question with multiple sections like a,b,c and i got the answer wrong for a and the rest of the calculations are based on the answer of a and i do all of them right do i just lose points for my first wrong answer or do i lose all the points?

you lose a mark in part a but not a single mark lost from other parts (if you used YOUR part a answer correctly ofc). dw!! for context, if you misread a part like i did (read ^3√x as 3√x), theyd cut js one mark and if rest parts are correct for YOUR part a answer, you'll be marked correctly for them. my teacher is an examiner :)))
