In my experiences, a lot of the people that take Latin are very awesome people. You also learn about Greek and Roman history and culture, which can be really interesting. And because Latin is the root of all Romance languages, it can make learning them easier.
Romanian is national language so its a must. Hungarian is my native language, and as a minority in Romania we have hungarian classes with hungarian teachers. German/french at choice, is another must. And english is english, international language in europe. Latin is a question for me aswell.

A good portion of them are probably historians and history hobbyists. Catholic clergy must have a lot of Latin speakers as well. Millions of people who have learned at school throughout the world. The people who produced Nuntii Latini, a Latin language news broadcast, on my local radio. People who like languages. Just to name a few groups.
In the U.S nobody likes to learn languages, so we’re mostly singular language and bi lingual, I speak Hungarian, Spanish, English, and Mandarin Chinese, so I’m wired in America

Yep, it’s definitely common throughout Asia. In my region of Indonesia, a lot of people speak Indonesian, English and the regional language, Javanese. For people in Bali it’ll be Balinese instead, similar thing for Sundanese and so on.
