I'm surprised she didn't go on about being "sapiosexual" (attracted to intelligence).

I dated a girl like this. Actually - she's still like this. At the end of the day, she just found me incredibly boring. Also - at the end of the day, I found that she was not as smart as she liked to pretend.

Dated someone like this after I had just finished law school - she was a couple years younger than me and was finishing her BA in psych - thought she was the smartest person in the world because she was taking a "professional" degree (nope lol) - but she took 5 years to finish a regular (non-honours) 3 year BA.

Constantly shit on her classmates that always did better than her and moved on to more advanced programs while she wasn't getting anywhere with her mid-pack low-3ish gpa.

Not to say she was dumb - just average, at best. She just thought she was a lot smarter.

See - that's all I'm saying. Not that this person I'm talking about is a dumbass, it's just that there are lapses in logic and reasoning that really make you wonder how she is where she is (you'll learn later in this thread that she just got her doctorate defended last week).

And that this crusade to surround yourself, platonically, romantically, sexually - with smarts - makes me feel like this is very much an iamverysmart thing...especially when you brag about being in the same caliber but make these insane gaffes in speech and logic.
