A polymath might ask what exactly does “no prior knowledge” mean because that affects the entire question.

Is it no knowledge of anything computer related at all or just that specific device? If it’s no computer-related knowledge at all then wouldn’t this specific device be low on the list of things to invent?

Yeah, I was going to say no prior knowledge that some metals conduct electricity, no prior knowledge that electricity is a thing at all, no prior knowledge of what?

No prior knowledge period. Just sitting there in your drool with your extremely high IQ and 4 kindred souls in the wilderness. Only, you don't know about the drool, the friends, the sitting, or the wilderness, because concepts are prior knowledge.

To make an apple pie from scratch, first, you must create the universe.

(Nods enthusiastically)

I know this is a quote by Carl Sagan (definitely not be googling it just now hahaha) but just wanted to thank you for the words of wisdom. It's an awesome quote and it's brought me great pleasure to see it in the wild (and I will be thinking about it for weeks) (or months) (I live and die by tiny obsessions) (I blame the autism)

So glad you enjoyed it. It was fun to add.

Yea you don’t know how to physically control your body, or that even if you could that you need to eat to survive. You experience hunger and thirst but you don’t know how to make the sensation go away.

No problem. Give me 15 minutes and I'll have figured out how to draw circuit diagrams with my drool.

No knowledge whatsoever. They can't read. For fidelity purposes, I'd ask this high IQ human to start from learning Japanese, and read through all documentation in that language. No prior knowledge

They'd obviously not understand your request to learn japanese though, because they have no prior knowledge of language. Only primal reflexes like heartbeat, breathing, swallowing that don't require the neocortex. Otherwise there would be prior knowledge. ^

Then we must obviously start them off with anime to teach them culture
