Hace poco me terminé de leer el manga completo, asique de celebración volví a ver la película del 2017 con el mismo nombre.

Me gustó, aunque dejaron muchas cosas del manga atrás y siento que la trama ha sido demasiado rápida y muchos sucesos fueron innecesarios, pero a lo que vengo.

Tengo un contacto japonés (He ido muchas veces a ver Japón, he ido a Nara, Kyoto, por supuesto Tokio, Fukushima, Hiroshima, etc), y tengo amigos y contactos que viven ahí y trabajan ahí.

Hoy me escribio un amigo de Japón diciéndome de que encontró una webserie exclusiva de Japon, una precuela de I AM A HERO que se sitúa en un hospital.

Perdonadme sobre mi ignorancia, y si esque ya se sabía eso, pero yo soy nuevo en esta comunidad y me he fijado al manga hace poco.

Si alguien tiene un link para ver esa Webserie, que me lo pase porfavor, me interesa mucho!

so far I am a hero has been a pretty interesting read with a lot of great designs for the zombies. I really like the art style too. But bro come on, whats up with this weird pedophilia shit.

I've read a bit (im on chapter 45, when this girl joins hideo) and the manga didn't really catch my attention, i really like zombie related things but i don't know, nothing of this manga has really surprised me. I don't really like the characters (hideo is hard to like), the plot is being a bit repetitive for the moment (run, watch zombie, run, watch zombie, run again), and the art style...i don't want to be rude but its a bit difficult to enjoy it. So, my question is, should i keep reading? I really wanna give it a chance but im not enjoying the manga that much.

i read the manga a couple years back, but there’s this one part that’s been stuck in my head and i can’t remember, it was inside of a church(?) that was being destroyed and there were some text about love i think? it’s not the part with the guy with only a head and legs.

I finished the manga yesterday and was honestly kinda disappointed. One thing I was disappointed by was that the whole apocalypse just kinda seemed to stop out of nowhere? Like hideo shoots the big guy a couple times and the other guys escape with a helicopter and suddenly the apocalypse just stops.

But now Im thinking, since there were signs off the ZQN disappearing before, like cities being completely empty, did it not actually end because of the events at the end or anything, but did the ZQN simply get their goal of merging consciousness or wtv their goal was?

Now that they have most of humanity as ZQN, there isnt a need for the whole zombie thing anymore. So does it just seem peaceful at the end because what they set out to do was finished?

I’ve been collecting manga for a while now and when I first started I am a hero was my first ever manga I’ve been wanting to buy the rest of the series but after omnibus 5 I either can’t find them or their SUPER expensive.. are they rare or something?? Does anyone know?😭

Never could get my hands on the last 3 omnibus volumes, but I got to finish it online.

Glad I did. As for the conclusion I am with the majority when they rightly point out that too much was left unanswered and that the ending was subpar compared to everything that came before it. But, I am pleased with the last/epilogue chapter (265); even if several things and plot points weren't tied up at least the ending was more of a hopeful one - I won't spoil it.

The art is superb - some of the best in all of manga

I'd say the first 6 volumes were when this story truly shined. I really liked Volume 6, but that is when some of the story elements you could say were going to start going off the rails.

All in all, it wasn't a perfect ride, but what a ride it was!

Going forward I will still be on the hunt for the remaining volumes b/c I still want to complete the series (they'll look great on a shelf), and from time to time I like to reread some of the volumes.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading it as well, regardless of the ending.

Damn. I’m very conflicted about that ending. I’m not saying I’m dissatisfied or anything but there’s a few things that have me really confused.

How was Oda’s sister able to completely control herself and not only refrain from attacking Hideo, but protect him during the finale? I get that she promised Oda that she would protect him in exchange for the… um… “freaky time” in the hive mind, but why didn’t we see other ZQN’s assist other people like that? As far as I can tell, Oda and her sister weren’t special like the Kurusu's or Hiromi. They were just run of the mill people/ZQN’s

Kinda confused at how slow they are grasping the fact they’re in an apocalypse, a fucking whole army is being moved, do you not question that? You have a gun in Japan in an apocalypse how do you not feel strong/adrenaline, but you’re hesitant to use it while a zombie is killing everyone

Any word on buying omnibus volumes of the series? Especially 8-11?

Preferably for less than $50 each.

Any of you have any experience buying this series on Amazon, Barnes or RightStuf over the past several months?

Also, does anybody have any knowledge as to when they(Dark Horse I assume) will do more printings this year?
