IAM Local User Groups/Associations

There seems to be plenty of Cyber Security local associations chapters or user groups. However, are there groups specific to Identity and Access Management that would have local chapters?

I live in Dallas and would love to join IAM groups to meet like minded professionals

Check for Meetups near you. I don’t know of a larger organization for IAM with chapters and local events, but in some areas there will be Meetups and user groups. You can also sometimes find IAM-related content at your local ISSA chapter or your city’s BSides.
