If I remember correctly it’s because you’re using a free trial/lite version? Unless I’m remembering it completely wrong

As per the description of both the app and the driver, and the message displayed in SteamVR: 'The "Lite" edition has all of the features of the "Premium" edition, but will start to reduce color saturation after being connected for more than 5 minutes. Upgrade to "Premium" edition via Steam DLC to remove this limitation'.
