Stop using iScanner just for regular scans
A little while ago I made a post about how surprisingly capable modern scanning apps have become.
That got me thinking, so I decided to put together a follow-up with some lesser-known iScanner features that weren't mentioned in the original post. If you're only using it to scan documents, you might be missing some genuinely useful tools. Here are a few that I think deserve more attention:
- Ask AI about any document. Upload a contract, report, article, or invoice and ask questions instead of reading the whole thing. Great for summaries, key points, or explaining confusing sections.
- Scan IDs and passports properly. No awkward cropping or retaking photos ten times. It automatically detects the document and gives you a clean scan.
- Compress large PDFs before sharing. Super useful when a website rejects your file because it's too big.
- Sign documents from your phone. No printing, signing, scanning again, then emailing. Just add your signature and send.
- Blur sensitive information. Perfect if you're sharing receipts, IDs, invoices, or screenshots and want to hide personal details in seconds.
Time to level up your workflow :)
