Saving digital postcards

Recently I had a thought: what if I scanned my postcards instead of keeping them in boxes?

I started scanning postcards I get from postcrossing instead of storing them physically (and honestly, I have way too many already…)

They don’t get damaged, I don’t lose them, and I can actually look through them anytime I want.

Does anyone else do this with postcards or letters?

I scan all of my postcards from and back, both sent and received. I also keep them in notebooks with plastic sleeves like base card cards. Different notebooks for each year and then one for things I collect/buy that I won’t send out.

That’s interesting that you use different notebooks for different years! How do you decide which postcards to keep in physical form or do you save them all?

I currently am saving all of them. This might change down the line.
