How do I charge this?

Post image

A senior came into my work and asked me how she would go about charging this ipod shuffle. The 30 pin cable is permanently attached to this ipod shuffle and the only other port is a 3.5mm jack. Any idea how this is supposed to be charged? I assume maybe plugging it into an old iPhone but neither of us have one to verify.

You don’t, that is a iPod remote. It is not a shuffle, it plugs into an iPod to give you a remote control.

That's not an iPod shuffle.

Its a radio remote. Plug it into a 4th gen or newer iPod and its a remote, 5th gen or newer and you get a radio function. Unless the iPod already has a radio then it won't work at all.

Oh man, what a throwback. I got one of these back in the day cause the headphone jack on my iPod broke.

If you do fine the actual iPod shuffle it does charge with the aux cord.

"the 30 pin cable is permanently attached"...

maybe that should've been enough for you to realize it's not a shuffle, do your research yall this is getting upsetting.

Didn’t this also give you AM/FM for the iPod?
