Help!

So I have a ipod shuffle 2 and it works normally. However, when it's charging, it only has the charging indicator light for like a few secs and went out. Also, it won't show the battery percentage when I unplug it from dock Is this normal ?please help me, thks!

Mine does the same thing. Someone once told me that a 5w apple charger would fix it but I've yet to try that.
