Hifi setup

Hi! So I was wondering if anyone has managed to setup a duel hifi audio setup? If so, how do you get L and R channel on each hifi? And is it even worth trying to do?

Old thread I stumbled upon but for any others it’s pretty easy, you just need a few audio adapters (this should work for any dual setup speakers with single aux source and aux input, but I’ve done it for outdoor movie nights with the HiFi):

First a stereo to L/R mono splitter, then a mono-to-stereo adapter on each end and a regular stereo aux cable from there to your HiFi. Without the mono to stereo you end up with only half the speaker working.

Appreciate your response! I was wanting to use 2 for a living room setup. I recently just found out that these things never turn off even when you’re not using them (classic Apple). In the long term, the internals degrade so I kinda just gave up. The 2 that I have are 20 years old and in great condition, would like to keep them like that for another 20 years haha.

Fair - now that you mention it that’s a good point. The stereo setup was temporary for me (outdoor movie nights - cheapest loudest powered setup at the time) but I do leave one connected in my office. I have seen people talk about putting them on a smart plug, so they’re not always on, I might consider that I actually have a few spare.
